Would you start new discussion on silly topic or serious topic?

Posting serious topic is dumb, posting dumb topic is smart.
For a place like mylot where topic is not organized in a categorical manner, I would only post silly topic that allow everyone to participated. I wouldn't expect anyone would answer if I ask something like the excercise frequency for better heart health. They just gonna miss it.

That's my problem because all the new discussion I posted is very serious my friend told me that I will try to make topic that is not that serious but I just don't know how. I am still looking for ideas.
