Mozilla is who makes Firefox. They make other programs as well. Like Thunderbird (e-mail program). http://www.mozilla.org

Firefox is just like Ie. It's a web browser, I think it's slightly better then internet explorer, because we don't get as many pop ups with Firefox.

Oh yes firefox is the best thing since sliced bread, it is an internet browser, a lot more secure than internet explorer, has tabbed browsing(this is excellent) and you can download popup blockers etc for it separately i just love it i've been using it for about 6 months now, have a look and see for yourself - you won't be disappointed:

You can use it like IE, but it's better. It doesn't use the ActiveX controls/scripting, though. Which is a GOOD thing cuz that can really screw things up. I believe you CAN download an extension that'll allow ActiveX, but I don't recommend it.

Firefox is much better and safer than the IE browser and even better than the newer IE 7 browser, which also has tabbed browsing. It was mentioned earlier that it is safer and more secure but I just heard from a friend that you should not use Gmail on Firefox because of the way Gmail is set up which allows spyware and hackers to access your computer. If you use Gmail, you may want to use IE for that. Otherwise it is a great browser and much faster.

I use Mozilla Firefox since last year and I can tell you it is, in some ways, better than Internet Explorer. For example, in Mozilla Firefox you can open multiple pages in the same window and you can easily switch between them, without changing the window. You can download Mozilla at: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
After dowloading, you can easily install

It is an anti-virus program.I think it is not that effective because it did not help me to delete some virus in my computer.
Perhaps I just do not know how to use it.
Anyone, can tell me how to use it well.
I am thinking of deleting it because it seems it is useless.

Mozilla Firefox is a browser. Internet Explorer, Opera, Netscape Navigator, Avant...these are all examples of browsers. A browser is software that you use to view webpages.
Firefox is a bit safer than Internet Explorer, particularly because it isn't as widely used. This is the same story with Opera, which is even safer than Firefox, and the fastest of all well-known browsers.
Firefox is still relatively safe, and supports some ActiveX controls (you use these to run programs over the Internet). It's not much faster than IE though; basically people use it because of all the fancy plug-ins they can get, or because they aren't sure of their security software.
Personally, I don't have much use for it. I use strong security software, so I can stick with the universal standard, Internet Explorer. When I use a particular website often, and have to login to use it, I will often save the bookmark and login on my portable Opera browser. Otherwise, I use IE for the functionality, as well as SiteAdvisor.
