I have two dogs--Bear and Skippy. Bear is definitely a lapdog!! He loves to be touching people. Skippy is very energetic! I also have a cat Ben who is very friendly. He is the friendliest cat I have ever seen!!

Hello Bulastika and welcome to my lot. We have one dog and he knows he is the baby. His name is Samson. He is spoiled. We even have to brush his teeth. We started this when he was a baby and now he won't let either of us brush our teeth without brushing his teeth too. He is spoiled rotten. He rules the house, and truck. He thinks he is so bad when anyone gets near us he barks like he will take their heads off.

Yeah, pets as so really demanding..Imagine we have four dogs in the house..If the another one sees you that you give the another one food and he doesn't have one..Their will be a riot! But because we have a lots of dog they have their own hierarchy.. theirs a bossy dog. second in command. outsider and neutral. The second in command..Pepper always bark to tell the other dogs and all of us the the boss dog.-garlic is arriving..lolz. The outsider-she always having fight with the boss dog.. that why shes always put outside. neutral- All dogs like him..his the only male in the house...lolz

The other cat is a black and white shorthair and her name is kiwi. The dog is a mini fox terrier and her name is Bella. The two birds are cockatiels and their names are Pip and Blinky. Your dog can meow!!! Wow.

I run a cat rescue so I have a lot of cats, most are permanent residents. Oliver thinks he's our baby because we bottle fed him from a week old. Rygel will jump in our arms from the floor. Timus will jump from the counter to our arms, but Rygel will jump from the floor. Scamp is my love, he's such a big scaredy cat, but he's beautiful and he loves me. Rio isn't the friendliest cat, but she is the most beautiful, she's a long haired torti Frankie is Siamese and quite the character! Oliver and Rygel are in my avatar, Oliver is the little black and white kitten, tho he's all grown up now! Our cats names are: Sassy, Scamp, Shooting Star - Star, Rio, Timus, Taj, Chevron - Ronnie, Gabrielle - Gabby, Gizmo, Ping & Pong, Solo, Rygel, Oliver, Booboo, Chalube. Kit, Rock Star - Roxie, Tuti and Nefer, Frankenkitty - Frankie, Antonio - Tony, Zhaan, Blossom, Flower, Emily, Elmer and Elizabeth.

I don't know if I can list them all here.. But I will start with my 4 dogs. Tennyson- is a male Collie looks a lot like Lassie.. he is a yipper. he barks a lot at my roommate and he is not the smartest dog. But he is the prettiest! Braedyn- is my other male collie -he is a Tricolor -he is very smart and athletic and is all around the most well behaved dog in the house. All the cats LOVE him.. not sure why. K'Ehleyr -She is one of Braedyn's daughters. She is the biggest girl in the litter she is now over 85 lbs (she weighs more than her mother and her father) She is a good girl and loves her mommy. :) Trinity - Braedyn's other daughter and the one most like him. She is Smart as whip, she knows at least 3 ways to escape out of the yard and 2 ways out of the house if she chooses to leave. She is very jealous of mommy sharing attention with anyone else. She is slim and very fast! I have 14 cats and they all have different personalities, some are aloof but most are playful. Some like to untie my shoelaces and chase them around the house as I walk. Others like to jump up on my back and prefer to be carried all over. quite a few like to sleep with me and take turns doing so. They are all quite beautiful but I may be prejudiced to their beauty :-) They are Plush, Squirt, Veronica, Vanessa, Gobi, Sahara, Saffron, Shetana, Valla, Precious, Fluff, Ben, Malachi and one more who is still searching for a name to call his own....

Wow, collie our neighbor has collie too name paulie. And I like her..very friendly dog..I think its on their breed that they are friendly..also a big dog.. Our dog breed are shih tzu, japaneze spitz, terrier, lhasa apso. also dalmatian, and labrador..but they are not living with us now.. ............ about cats.. sorry but I don't like cats.. no loyality. they spend more time sometimes in other houses if theirs food their they are hard to train. Also they bites when you accidently step on them..unlike dogs.. they will just give you a pity eyes. except our dog garlic..He bites anyone in our house. That is my experience when I have a cat.. Maybe ours is different..

Well some cats can be that way most of my cats come when they are called. I have never had a cat bite me or even scratch me if I accidentally step on them (and this happens more often than I would like to admit as the kittens get under my feet a lot -sepecially the one that unties my shoes for his pleasure :)) They have accidentally clawed me. mostly the babies as they don't understand yet- They can be trained. then again my dogs often jump up to say hi to me and have scratched me in the face - I don't know which is worse.. lol I have lots of scars. but I also get lots of love from my babies.. I love my dogs. But I think I will always have cats too. And I trust my cats to go outside and come back home more than my dogs.. I think if they were allowed to roam the dogs would not come back.. so who is more loyal? I really can not say.. I think the dog following his nose would maybe just get lost with so many smells to check out.. :)

About the scratches buy them a nail cutter. Maybe its depends on our pets personality..our dogs never go own with out a leash. and if they want to go out they bring their leash to us..Just to let us know that they want to go out..lolz And If they go out and find that your gone..they hurriedly go home.. Sometime we look for them in the park only to find out that they already at the house..lolz..

I have three cats. The first one is a mainecoon which I adopted from an animal rescue agency as a kitten. From day one he's been cheeky, smart and energenic with plenty of personality. He now will watch where I hide his treats and If I am otherwise engaged he will jump onto the cupboard, open the door and retrieve them for himself. He also fetches small objects. Secondly I rescued a black shorthaired adult male from another agency. Unfortunately he has had alot of medical problems and even had to have his eye removed but now he is healthy and happy. He defintly lets you know when the food bowl is empty with loud meowing. Thirdly I have a long haired orange and white tabby named Joy, by my neice. She ended up on a friends door step malnurished, flea ridden and in need of attention. My friend took her in and I had her taken to the vet for treatment. We then found out she was pregnant with kittens. The happy end to this story is that I eventually brought her to my home plump and flea free, my friend kept 2 out of the 3 kittens that she had and the third kitten went to a good home. So there you have it, my little family: Lynk, Shadow and Joy. Cheers!

cute!..I wish I have one cat who look likes Garfield..lolz.. We have four dogs in the house..two big dogs in another house. We have a fish, and a bird, But because I have bad experience with a cat..( I mentioned it in my upper thread) Maybe because of the breed..In the Philippines we have Askal (asong kalye) its means street dogs) and pusakal (pusang kalye) means street cat..and they are very hard to train..hard headed..maybe because of their animal instinct and survival traits...(because of street life..)lolz..But many of you mentioned that you got them in a shelter but do they really behave? Or maybe they just like people to..Some family raise their kid to be good..but still that kid just go bad.. its just happen that what ever I do the cat that I have is simply a bad one.. So I just associate that all cat are bad in nature..

Yeah, Your right. Its hard for animals to gain trust when they don't used to be pet, Also if they experience abuse in their life.. I'm happy that the cats give you a chance or give them self a chance to be pet.. Cause..If I'm stray dog or cat and be given a home..I would rather stay in the street..Because all of their life they stay in the street and they're comfortable living as one. But also maybe they are just tired of being a street cat and just want a place called home.. But here in our country..The cats will just visit your house when its eating time..but as soon as they full their belly. They are gone.. And some just don't want to be pet...They just want to eat...lolz.. (I'm talking about street cats) street dogs are much easier to train than street cats.. This is only base to my own experience.. ... I wish if I have lots of money I can build a shelter for neglect and abandoned animals..

I understand what you mean about "wild cat". There is a difference with the cats I have they were all strays, they had contact with humans since birth. "wild cats" or feral as they are usually called are strays who havn't had alot of human contact so they are vicious and act more like jungle cats then domestic. The key to cats not being feral is human contact at an early age. That was probablly why you had problems with yours, they are really hard to train if they are feral. Also unfortunately some cats are abused and never learn to acclimate to humans.

I have two dogs. They are both miniature poodle dogs. Secret is white with black patches and Magic is black. Secret barks a lot. He is active and likes to run fast. He rushes around and jumps up. He loves to be fussed and stroked. Magic is quiet and moves slower than Secret. She acts sensible most of the time but can be playful when she feels excited. She likes to look for cats when we are out on walks. Secret likes to bark at other dogs when we are out on walks. I stop him from doing that by talking to him. I love my two dogs.

The funny think is she lay face up.. and show her tummy..she want the cat to rub her tummy...lolzz

We only have one pet, a cat named Sleepy. I've said many times that we should have called him Lover Boy. He's a lap cat who loves to be loved. This is fine most of the time, but whenever one of us is trying to walk, he's always right under our feet. I worry that one of us might trip over him, as we are both senior citizens.

My husband and I just got married and have a nice little zoo happening already! Between us we have 5 dogs and 2 cats. Ghost and Tashi are the two cats. They are as opposite as night and day. Ghost is part siamese, white/grey sleek long haired, and is very picky and likes to be left along. Unless she wants something - then she'll come to you long enough to get petted or get a treat and then she'll disappear again. Tashi is the exact opposite. She's a caramel tiger striped bushy long haired and she's a clinger. She'll follow you and constantly wants to sit in your lap. Out of the dogs we actually only have 3 with us. I have a black poodle terrier mix named Micky and he's about 20 lbs. He lives with my parents and keeps their dog company. He acts like a cat, I swear he thinks he is one! Bud is a 10 year old pure bred chocolate lab that lives at my in-laws place. He's been there for 8 years and has his own little nook in the barnyard and we didn't have the heart to remove him from his dog house. He's friendly and bouncy unless faced with a barn cat or coyote. At our house we have Lily, a 4 year old pure bred chocolate lab who is sweet as can be. She loves to run but we live on the highway so we keep her on a chain. When I can I let her loose and play outside with her. We also have two of her pups that are about 12 weeks old. Copper is actually ours. And Lady is our cousin's but he can't have dogs where he is renting so she's staying with us. Copper is a very exuberant puppy. He was the bossy one of the litter. He would climb into the food dish and eat around himself before letting the other pups eat. We're guessing he'll be about 120 lbs when he's fully grown. Lady is sweet and shy like her momma. She's smaller than her brother and was the runt of the litter. We also help take care of the 3 horses and 5 or 6 steers that run around at his parents place.

When he was with us..He's so fat!.. So fat that he can't climb up to the third floor of our house! its take him 30 minutes to reach our third floor..We let him sleep in the third floor.. Wow you got lots of pets.. Its my dream to have my own mini zoo.. but I want them to be all tamed..not like in a zoo..very wild.

I have but one - Mr. Scotty - the protector. Since my husband's stroke, Mr. Scotty has become his protector insisting all therapists, nurses, doctors pass muster before being allowed to treat Dad. He's goes out to play, but will only chase the ball a couple of times before deciding he must get back to his guardian position at Dad's feet. He is also the protector of smaller dogs and a fierce defender against bigger dogs (which worries me a bit. After all, his chief foe, a Rottweiller could have him for lunch!) He shows no fear against the bigger brutes, but when our old cat was alive, all it had to do was smack him on the nose to be left alone. There is a huge dish of marshmallow in the middle of this crusty little fellow.

hahaha! He thinks his superman!..What breed is he? Whose dog is the Rottweiller? Just be careful. Rottweiller is the deadliest dog. I think Rottweiller is in the top of the list of dogs who kills. They are mean if you train them to be mean..but they also be a good companion and guard dog.

Wow..Another cat lover. Its seem mylot has lots of cat lover. Some also own dogs but still they have cats in their home. I have a cat once and he is the first and the last cat I have. It bites, it scratch and it run away. Cats for me is easy to bribe. If your neighbor feeds your cat. The cat will abandon you and prefer to live in your neighbor house..lolz .. I don't know.. I just have some bad experience with my cat. I think I judge one cat to many. But right now I prefer dogs. We have lots of dogs in our house.
