No mistake about it...it was good old rockin' Johnny.
If you've really listened to each of their individual "screams" over the years, you'll know it was John. Dear old Sir Ringo couldn't very well sing, let along scream for that matter....not with THAT nose! Sir George at that time the White Album was made, was more or less still on his "Eastern" journey, where the music he was making, was softer, gentler, and more mellow. Remember "Piggies"? Not only that, his voice couldn't reach those higher ooos and ahhhs, like it did so many years before. Sir Paul? Heck you can make out his alto voice anywhere. It's a lot higher than John's. Sir John had the ability to produce a much raspier style whenever he wanted, something just like his personality back then. If you recall, these great 4 lads were on the verge of their break-up.
Yup, it was John alright.
I'd recognize that voice anywhere.
Cheers mate;

I am a drummer and a fan of the Beateles and Ringo. I say it is definitly Ringo at the end of Helter Skelter. If he was playing hard for a long time it is possible that he could develop blisters on his fingers. I agree with you. It does sound like Ringo's voice.

It's John Lennon. He was really working his guitar hard for Helter Skelter. I know it was John Lennon -- I read it in a biography of his.
