I was watching the news and it was showing the couple that crashed to the state dinner at the white house. ARE YOU SERIOUS? These people just walked in, took photos, partied, and then posted them on their website. What were they thinking? Do they not think there will be repercussions? Is the president safe? What if they were terrorists or psychopaths? What guts these people have? What do you think?

Nobody is absolutely safe on this world inluding US president. There are so many people in this world are trying to hurt him. There were four presidents killed by
the people who hate them.Though mordern techonology has made VIPs more and more safe. But I don't think Kennedy will be the last president to be killed. To some point, the president is a dangerous career in American. So who will be the next murdered president?let's see.

According to the department of Homeland Security, President Obama is the most threatened president in history. That would make me a little nervous. They must have to consider the fact that if they run and get elected the entire scenario changes. You go from a politician to the Leader of the entire country. You safety changes. No doubt about that. You have to be able to trust in the people protecting you. I think what happened the other night at the state dinner puts that into question. Someones in trouble. dl

Friends, it was not only President Obama, even our Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, was at the dinner. Just think what would have happened if some loony from Al Quaida, had assasinated both the leaders. It would have been world war 3. Today India is also a nuclear power nation, and if something had happened to its Prime Minister,India would have retaliated immediately against Pakistan. I shudder to think of the consequences.
The American Secret Service should take responsibility, and whoever is its chief should be thrown out along with all the other members who were there in the White house during that time.

Yeah a rant to blame Pakistan would most definitely be the issue then. It just seems mad that at a time when people are running about murdering innocent people the Indian government points fingers on Pakistan without any evidence. The case was the same with the train bombings a few years ago. And they are trying to get a peace process going...

Personally it does Stop to make you wonder and with Good reason. To think that these people were Stopped from entering with their Car, but not stopped on foot does make you wonder. But anymore I think people are bound to slip in from any direction, and into companies, etc. as well to where you never really know. But this does tend to make one think more about how safe are we really, and how could something like this really happen for sure?

Of course he is safe. He would have made sure of it and his minions would have as well. They probably knew that those two publicity seekers went in and probably allowed them to do so because it would make people think that Obama is accessible to everyone. If there were guards watching, like the secret service, and if anyone of them had any ideas of disposing of Obama, there were probably men watching them, and men watching the men watching them. Oh if there were terrorists, psychopaths, or those who wanted to get rid of Obama for what he was doing to the country, these would not stand a chance.
Only God could do it and I do not see Obama having a massive heart attack seeing he is not that old and he is not fat.

Wow, that seriously is funny and daring. Although it brings out serious questions as to how careless sometimes the security personnel can get! But the couple should have been a little more sensible, because they are guilty of trespassing they can be tortured to hell for any reason!

The only reason I have heard why this couple got in is because the security guard did not check the list to make sure they were on it. If he had done his job then they would not have gotten in. I think the president is safe as long as his security gaurds are doing their job.

I think this was very serious breach in the Secret Service's security procedures. It would have been so easy to have killed the president or his Indian guest. I think the people responsible should be punished and I mean both the Secret Service individuals who allowed this happen and the couple who gate crashed the event.

If George W. Bush didn't get assassinated, especially after 9/11, Obama will be okay. Not to say he's safe, because I don't believe any President is safe. I'm sure it would never occur to the secret service that terrorists would be stupid, fake tanned white people. Who were followed to the event by Bravo cameras. By the way, I'm white, so my comment about fake tanned white people is not racist. It's the truth.

i think they were just social climbing yahoos.
they did say they were trying to get a reality show like the balloon boy's folks.
i suppose on some level they should thank them tho-they just showed how vulnerable the president really is.somebody was asleep at the wheel-they better fix that.

Absolute safety does not exists. Everything has some security leaks, we are humans and as humans we are not perfect.
I've studied industrial plant safety and the first think that they teach you is that there is nothing 100% safe. We always talk about probabilities, so the point is what are the odds that someone trys that again and succeeds?

hello dloveli, I believe those guards responsible for letting them in should be discharge or fired them from their jobs, i just can't imagine Washington DC has allowed an uninvited guess to come in to the party but are they crazy?! most specially now that the news had spread to the World. I won't be surprised if the terrorist get's a HUGE chance of bombing the white house since this is a real serious LAPSE of SECURITY in the building..
