you must be a very rich guy or a fan of pc or laptop.
great, but each time after you change your pc or laptop many things you need to repeat time and time again, such as transefer the disk data, which are important to you, maybe some documents, pictures, installation files of software and so on. that will be a time consuming work which concern not the money but your time and energy. then i want to ask that whether changing a pc or laptop worth or not? lol

you are lucky cause i have many documents which are all very important to me.
as for you, i think you should better use a Netbook cause you just surf the internet. and the Netbook will be much cheaper.
good luck~

hitherto i have not change my pc.
in fact it just has served me for 4-5 years.
now, it works good, and i am not gonna to change it at least in the next 3 years.
changing my pc means a lot of work to do, after you buy a new pc or laptop you must thansfer many important documents from the old one. that means a great hard work for me cause the copy speed now is not very satisfactory for me.

MY PC is 8 years old but I have changed the parts every two to three years. And of course upgrade software every year or so. I do think that PC's are cheaper these days but so are parts. And typically, when I upgrade - I buy top of the line and the best at the moment that way I won't have to upgrade in another two or three years. Technology is so fluid and improves so fast - so you never really know how long a motherboard is good for!

Mine is about 6 or 7 years. But I've already replaced a lot of it like the motherboard and the processors. The remaining antique on my PC is the casing of my CPU, power supply, the printer, and the webcam. I wished I could buy a graphic card for more gaming experience.

I had an old PC which is Sony Vaio, I used it for over 8 years, and yesterday, I officially pronounced its deceased due to the CPU failure. I purchased a refurbished one to replace it. It was cost much less and it runs much faster than the one I have right now.

hi b4balaji^^;;
i still have my old desktop but work on my new laptop most of the time.
my desktop is already 8 years old because i bought it 2001. all parts are still the original and i just added a dvd burner but that's all. it is still working fine for basic use like word processing and the like. it's also possible for gaming that requires low specification. my monitor also still works good but sometimes the built-in speaker on it sound is a bit distorted when the volume is adjusted. i still treasure it haha

Hello B4balaji and welcome to my lot. My computers is about the same age as yours. I have changed the mother board in one and the hard drive in both. I would love to have an LCD monitor but that is not in my budget yet. Maybe one day I will buy a new computer but these computers both run pretty good so I will stick to them until I can afford better.

This is actually like my fourth or fith laptop over my lifetime. They generally last me about four years because of all of the abuse. But meh. This particural one is four months old.
