I think I will make some good sambar with shalots and green chilly, tomato and along with it some vegetable curry and cucumber raitha. Sambar is a type of Indian dish, made of tamarind juice, cooked lentils, spice powder, salt vegetables and seasoning with mustard and curry leaves. It goes well with rice, chapati and kichidi

Yes, you are right. Plenty of South Indian dishes are there which are very tasty.

we cooked a lot of chicken, and at 2 oz a meal, it goes a long way... I cook a cup of veggies and that 2 oz of chicken and then I might eat some carb like cereal. I should have a piece of fruit, but I had a mug of hot chocolate tonight instead - its not on my diet, but I'm trying to get rid of the stuff from the pantry and I can drink it with sugar while the roomie can't
once its gone, we won't get any more unless its sugar free

We are still living off of Thanksgiving leftovers. But, again, my creative bug got the better of me and I found another way to use some more turkey up. For dinner last night, I managed to make a vegetable and turkey stir-fry. :) I took some of the left over fresh veggies we had cut them up, chopped up some of the left over turkey, threw in a few spices, then steamed some rice, Done!
It turned out so well the kids had seconds and thirds. I think I might have out-done myself! :)

We had Southindian dish called dosa and egg roast today. I like dosa very much. Sometimes we have make rice for supper. There are lots of Southindian dishes that are very tasty. I think you certainly should try to taste dosa.

It is too early in the day for me to tell what I will be making. I will probably end up making brats and mac and cheese for dinner tonight. Green beans or corn to go with it. I am not in the mood to cook today, so that will be something easy I can just whip up.

Tonight I am going to make some cube steaks on wheat rolls & probably toss some french fries in the oven. Nothing too exciting.
Most of our left overs are pretty much gone. Makes me wish I would of found a bigger turkey! I love turkey left overs! But I'm making the above since I made chicken last night & it'll be colder in a few days so why not make something that requires the oven another night ;0)

I will be working tonight from 2 to close and more than likely i will be having a TV dinner heated in the microwave or get something on the way home or like i did the other night i came home and had a bowl of cereal. Work is important and i need to make the money so dinner doesn't seem to be important at all so i just eat something simple and keep working through out the night.
I wish i could go home and eat a good meal, but i don't get to during december since im working at night most of the time. I would like to eat a meal that my parents cooked while coming home but then i never feel like putting it on a plate and heating it back up.

Well as for me I am not going to cook because I do not have a home of my own. Which I know that doesn't mean I can't cook it is just that I am not today. But I wish I did have my own place to cook for my girl. We used to live together in an apartment but for economic reasons we can't at the moment but we will soon be living back with eachother again.
But hey if I was to cook I would cook cheese enchiladas her favorite to show her that I love her with some rice on the side and salsa to top it off. MMM I am getting hungry!!
Thanks for the dsicussion
happy mylotting
