My license will renew next month and I'm not ready!

I so totally can't believe I did this. My CPA license renews the first week of January, and I totally thought it renewed the NEXT year. Every 2 years, when our licenses renew, we have to have 80 credit hours of continuing education. Well, guess what??? I'm 22 hours short! I have a month to get these courses done. Hopefully it wont be a problem because I can do them all on-line whenever I want. I'm going to try to do at least one course a day so that I'm not doing all of them in one day at the last minute.
What's the last thing you realized was coming up and you weren't prepared for it because you thought you had a lot more time?

Well you do have 31 days to get your 22 credit hours done. How long is each of these course that you can do one in a day? Hope you get all your hours done on time so you can get your CPA license renewed.

Wow! That's kind of serious. I worked for a cpa like that. I really loved him as a boss though. He was so laid back. It didn't matter what you did as long as you could fix it. As you know, everything can be fixed. This man was just so calm. We would have audits and he would be signing them at the last minute. It would drive his wife absolutely mad. It was so funny. I would actually go back to work doing that if I could find another boss like him. LOL

i'm sorry that your short on your hours but i'm sure you'll make it before the renewal of your license. i know it's going to be alot of work though, but you can do it. but for me the last thing i had forgot was probably a major bill and i had to ask a close friend to help me. she let me borrow some money. i think that's a terrible thing for me to have forgotten. but since then i have yet to forget it ever. i mark everything on the calender and in my phone. so my phone sets an alarm when it comes close to time.

I have had weddings and things like tht come up, and then I realize I need panty hose or I forgot to buy the card to put the check in and stuff like that, then I have to rush around the day before getting all that kind of stuff done. I also used to do that when I was back in college where I would remember I had a test of somthing was due then I had to cram the night before or hurry up and do a project. I always did manage to get everything done though but sometimes I was really cutting it short. Best of luck to you on getting it done.
