Hi, brandypelland! That is wonderful news to hear about! I am on Wic and EBT too. If you don't mind me asking, how much of your purchase did she pay for? Sometimes when I am in the store and I am short in change, a person standing behind me will offer to make up the difference.. It can be 25 cents or so. Even some cashiers have made up my difference.. And other times if I am like 10 cents short they will just let me go! This is a blessing that happened to you! God loves you and he has shown you just how his heart is, through another person! I praise God with you all the way!

Yes, it does not matter! It was a blessing from God!!! The reason why I asked is because I was trying to determine if she paid your way if you were short on your EBT. I know that the Wic vouchers are free. And I wondered if this was the one that she paid off of. But now I know. I was not trying to be nosy or anything. Never that!! I am on the EBT and Wic Voucher. I have been short many of times in the store. I am very glad to see people helping others! You are a very blessed woman! You have so much to be thankful for!

Hello Brandy. Praise God for this blessing. God works in many mysterious ways. God probably sent this lady to the same grocery store because He knew your needs. God has blessed you. God will bless this stranger many times over for her unselfishness. I think God sees all our needs and provides us with what we really need. God has blessed us many times over. Praise God for all His blessings.

That was really nice of this lady to pay for your groceries! It was also nice of you to share the story with others. It is stories like this that give inspiration and hope [as well as show that some people actually DO live out their faith!]. However, it does not surprise me, as I have seen G-d supply through different people in amazing ways many times over the years. Like the time we needed $1000 to fix our car; my husband's parents sold my husband's bedroom furniture for the first $500, and then an even more amazing thing happened - talking at work about the situation [as we often do], a young co-worker went home and told my story to her parents - the next day she came to work with an envelope for me with 5 $100 bills in it. Or the time my son found a $50 bill wrapped in an invoice on the side of the road - and called the person on the invoice to be told that it had been blown out of their box from storage, but to go ahead and keep the money. Or just a few years ago, when shopping at the local thrift store for a kitchen table, and I had enough money for the table, but not all four chairs, when a lady there paid the extra $ for me to be able to get the whole set. So, it's not 'see Virginia, there really is a Santa Clause', it is 'see, G-d really does work through His people [if we only let Him, and open our eyes to see it every day!']

Wow that is great. There are still kind and genuinely helpful people in the world. That was really sweet of her. May the good Lord continuously bless her. This world is not a lost cause after all. It was really nice that a complete stranger could come to the aid of another person. More surprisingly though is that she insisted when her offer was declined.

Hi Brandy, I'm so happy you chose to share this wonderful story! There are indeed still people in this world who aren't afraid or too jaded to "pay it forward". It's truly a blessing to be the recipient of such random acts of kindness, and it's also a blessing to pay it forward to the best of your ability, which is what you've done by sharing the experience. There are many of us who believe that you receive back tenfold that which you give from a glad heart! My prayers are with you and yours, darlin!

Thanks for sharing this story. It puts light to people's life : that good still exist and people still do good deed. Do continue to spread this around cos it will enlighten people to have hope and be positive, as well as to start more people wanting to do little deeds like that as they realise their little actions will bring so much joy and do so much good to the world.

That is so wonderful, Thank you for sharing. My Sunday school teacher at church has challenged our class of single moms to do stuff like that. She has encouraged up so when we are in the drive thru pay for the car behind us or when we go through a toll pay for the car behind us, or even the same thing at the grocery give the person on the register some money to help with the person behind us. Mind you on that last one. I live in a small town and we know all the people that work at this store so we know it will go to that person and not in their pocket.
Our local TV station has even gotten into it for the month of December they are doing something called Pay it forward. They pick someone off the street and give them $100 and tell them they need to help at least one person with the money They can't keep any for themselves. The camera then follows them as they do their good deed. They do this once a week and show it on Thursday evening. It is great to see the persons face who is receiving and the person who was able share the blessing with someone else

Wow. That is very lucky of you to have met such a generous and nice person. I think it is now rare to find people like her nowadays anywhere, be it in Asia, Europe, or America. I hope she gets good karma. She truly has a nice heart. If only more people be like her who is not only patient and nice but also generous.

It was very nice of her to pay for your groceries. Some people are just that way alway helping out other people never getting upset because someone is taking a long time to do something. God is great and is taking care of his children.

Such divine interventions are not isolated cases. There are people who will stop to help a stranger if there is a need. This old lady did what was right and I'm sure that many of us would agree that if we had the resources, we would have done the same too. This lady is indeed very noble and kind and will be rewarded by the Lord for her magnanimous gesture.

That was great generosity of the lady to pay for you. Because of such people only this world is being a placed to live in otherwise it will be all useless. May such people live forever

Wow, thats a great story! It is heart warming to know that there are still people out there who think of things other than themselves. I can't say I have ever had anyone out right pay for my groceries, but I have come up a few cents short before and had people behind me chip in a few cents to help out. I try to do the same as well when I can. I did put 5 bucks on a tab that someone was short once. I also helped a young man (young teen) who was on a date with his girlfriend. He had gone up with his check, knowing it was more than he counted on, but did not want to tell his date this. I happened to be behind him at the register, which was in a seperate room from the dining area. He was trying to explain to the gal at the register what had happened and that he was a few dollars short. I him on the shoulder slipped the young fella a 10 dollar bill, enough to finish off his bill and leave an impressive tip. He thanked me for both my contribution and for doing it discreetly, out of the site of his date, lol.

hi brandypelland thats just wonderful and goes to show that
there are a lotof good people out there that go unsung. We
should not grump so much about how many bad people there are'
when so many more good people should be praised for helping
strangers just because they are good people. I am so glad she
did that for you and was warm hearted and kind.God is great you are so right. I once had a tall silver haired stranger give my little two year old son a twenty dollar bill for me to buy baby food with for his little sister. I guess he heard me talking to my little boy and thought I was short of money which I really was. I tried to find the man to thank him but he was slipping out the back door. seems According to the clerk he was the owner of the grocery store I was in. She said he often gave money to people he felt needed and deserved it. bless his heart. that was almost thirty years ago .wow.
