Family Betrayal

Have any of you experienced a family member betraying you? I have had it happen a couple of times with different family members. It is devastating when you first discover that someone you love and care about has stabbed you in the back. I would like to hear other stories as I sometimes feel I am the only one that this has happened to. I know I am not literally the only one, but it is something that is not often talked about openly. Your thoughts? Your experiences?

I have allowed my older sister and her boyfriend to live with me a total of 6 times in two years because either she or her boyfriend have lost their jobs or apartments. Each time they were not actively seeking employment, were not respectful of rules that I had set in my home, and were just plain rude. It came to a point were we had gotten into altercations over it. I had to make the decision that even though she is my sister, I can not allow her to think that her behavior was okay. Putting my sister out was one of the hardest things I have had to do. She thought that because she was my older sister, that she could get away with anything. I love my sister very much, but I will not tolerate you thinking that you can get over on me. It was a hard lesson that I had to learn, but I'm glad that I did.
