Mossberg

I have owned the Mossberg 500, and the Remington 870, and I find the Remington to be more reliable. I have also used both types of shotguns on the job as a former law enforcement officer. I would recommend the Remington over the Mossberg ANY day. Another good choice is the Winchester model 1300. It is a pump shotgun as well, and I own it in 12 gauge. It is also very reliable and very smooth. Definitely go with the Remington or the Winchester though...Just from my experience...I would advise you not to buy the Mossberg...

I have a Mossberg and the only time I have a problem with it is when I use Remington amunition.
