I really like skirts and actually they are kinda new to me. By that I mean I grew up with two brothers. For a long time I was kinda a tomboy i guess. I wore skirts and dresses to church but that was it. I also always lived in warmer areas. Now I live in Ohio and it is too cold for my blood. I like skirts. I am kinda getting into a girly phase of life and I am asking advice since I know someone out there knows the ins and outs of skirt fashion. I guess we have to make the choice cute or warm.

winters here are average 30 or lower. frigid some mornings. i like the boots idea though. i normally wear skirts with open toed shoes so i guess i have had a hard time invisioning a pair of shoes i could wear in the snow that would not take from the sexiness of wearing a skirt. Thanks for your advice.

it's ok to wear skirts in the winter. you have to know that there are pantyhose that go up to 110 DEN. if you do not know what DEN is...it's the density of the pantyhose. and to make a better idea, an average panty, that women wear in the spring or autumn, or on an elegant evening dress is 15-20 DEN. so cold it is not a problem if you want to wear a skirt

yes just ask at any store that sells pantyhoses about the ones with higher DEN. i have 110 ones and it's like having pants when it comes wormth but i can still wear a skirt.

so in the cold you should use a higher den of pantyhose?? is there a specific store to purchase these at? are they available everywhere? i actually never knew there was a difference in the pantyhose thickness. that is a great insight. i really appreciate your info. thanks

Of course skirts are okay in the winter. Sure, they are cold, but they look cute. It's also cute to wear stockings or tights with a skirt or dress and this can really help to add a little warmth. Also, choose an inside day, a night out, or a shopping day to wear one, that way you won't be out in the cold all day.
