"Goeie dag" That is good day in Afrikaans from Sotuh Afirca "Hello" This is helo but the e is pronounced the same as the e in bed.

How does "Gidday Mate" sound? Pretty corny really. We just usually say hi or hello in Australia. There is a lot of slang that we use though that others don't understand. "Hi, how ya goin? Good ey!
