Hi ANTIQUELADY, Long time no see. I will say a little prayer for your grandson tonight. I had my tonsils out when I was young as well, it is a simple operation these days so it should go well Hope all is well with you and yours.

I will keep you and him in my thoughts and prayers. When my middle child had his tonsils out I was a basket case....even though it is a routine procedure, you still as a parent (or a grandparent) are concerned. He will be up and running around before long. Keep us posted.

I got my tonsils out when I was four. Unpleasant, but at least he'll be able to have ice cream! Poor thing. I keep thinking maybe they've made the recovery less painful in the last 24 years since I had mine out, but probably not. I'll pray for him.

I remember when my daughter had to have her tonsils out I prayed and cried and carried on. The doctor said it was no longer a big deal, that was about 30 years ago. When it's our kids Grandchildren are our kids as well and It Is A Big Deal to us!!! Yes I'm sure the little guy will be just fine, BUT You Can Be Sure He Is In My Prayers, and so are you Grandma we always do the worrying, it's a womans job!!!

I actually responded to the discussion about his recovery before seeing this one and I am still sending up my prayers for him Antique .Yes he is a wonderful boy and God protects children so I was sure he would be allright ,he is strong and full of life and loving life .You be strong too for him Antique and I hope to see many more wonderfull discussions on him .Many blessings Antique

It is a simple operation, pray with your grandson before he goes in ,in the morning and beg God and he does listen when we are praying,I will pray for him to, my nephew had his tonsil removed a few years ago, and he is better than he was before, I know how it hurts to see your loved one go in for an operation, I saw my sister crying when he son went it, but have hope, God is love.
