Do you have certain seasonal traditional movies that you just have to see again every year? I have several. During the Thanksgiving weeks I love to watch past favorite televisions shows like The Waltons and Little House On the Prairie. The Waltons have always been a favorite of mine. I am an only child and I enjoy all the kids and the big family. Near Christmas time I watch three movies that I have on VHS and have had for ten to fifteen years. The first one is: The Bishop's Wife. Here is a link from IMDB that tells about it. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0039190/ It has classy David Kniven as the Bishop, beautiful Lretta Young as the wife and Cary Grant as, Dudley, the angel. It is such a sweet movie and great for kids of all ages. Just a delightful story. Then, number two is White Christmas. Always touching and brings a tear to my eye. Silly Danny Kaye highjinks, Mary Wickes plays the delightful housekeeper and ofcourse Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen. Some of it is just old campey theatrics but it is a great movies and the last ten minutes is one of my favorite movie segments of all time. The last one is Holiday Inn. One of the funniest scenes in movies is when Fred Astaire goes to the Inn drunk and does a dance number. Funny. Has Bing Crosby and Marjorie Reynolds as the love instance. It is a pretty run of the mill storyline but the theatrical moments are well worth your while if you are into musical numbers and the old vintage stuff like I am. What are your favorite seasonal movies and what do you like about them?

Every Christmas season I need to watch some movies from the past such as "A Christmas Story" and "A Christmas Carol / Scrooge." They are the must sees, followed my more recent films such as "Polar Express" and "How The Grinch Stole Christmas."

I enjoy those as well. I like the old A Christmas Carol. Seems more realistic.

I do not have such movie collections. Whenever there is a such a holiday or an atmosphere of celebration, I tend to surf channels looking for new movies. In my house other members also like to see new movies.
