Guys, who do you think will manage Liverpool should Rafa Benitez leaves Anfield? As for me, I would love to have Alan Thompson to be Liverpool manager. Remember those days when Liverpool used to play attacking football under Houllier and Thompson. Now what is your view?

oo.let`s compare who the best in their first time to coach the team, Rafa or Fergie?i think all of us admit that Rafa more better(if we are looking from their achievemnet in first year untill 5 years in club). Rafa in his first year give Champions League to Liverpool. Ferge?he need 10 years to get the trophy.

For me 8 or 9 years are a long wait. I pity Gerrard actually. I think he doesn't want to be remembered as the captain who have never won the Premier League with Liverpool. Sure he did win the Champions League but the most prized asset would be the English Premier League.

Hmm... it is still not clear whether Benitez will just yet leave the club. Looks like Liverpool does not have the moolah to hire the new manager. The names that are doing rounds are the usual ones with the Chosen one Jose Mourinho being one of the names being bandied around. Jose is reportedly unsettled at Inter and is looking to return to England. Would be interesting to see if Jose would fit into the Liverpool bill!!
Cheers!

i think it will be roberto mancini as the next liverpool coach
mancini has a good record when he take intermilan as serie a winner
and now he is jobless
it's become the new tradition after chelsea also hire italian club manager, carlo ancelotti

He have been manager of Bayern but not spurs. He was a former player of spurs. I think he can bring something to Liverpool. Just give him a chance.

I like Mancini when he was at Inter but I don't think he have what it takes to manage Liverpool. Juergen Klinsmann would be a better option. Remember few years back, the American owners did approach Klinsmann about managing Liverpool but he opted for Bayern instead.
