We had a "make-it-youself" Christmas one year. My dad made jam from the raspberries he grew in his garden; my mother-in-law made us woolly hats; my mum made lavender sachets... we made pencil tubs, paperweights, table mats, scrapbooks, calendars, letter racks, fridge magnets, board games and my son made a little picnic tableau for my Beanie Babies. We all enjoyed making the things and loved the fact that we received original gifts that had been made with love just for us.
