Hi friends,
My school is just 5 mins away from where I live. I consider myself very lucky as I haven’t changed a lot of schools and I never board a school bus and no long walks for reaching school either.
Yet my attendance use to remain very poor .
Anyways I have some extremely fond memories of my school life. I can say it was the best time of my life and I have enjoyed every moment of it. The playground, canteen, the gymnastic bar all have marvelous memories with me.
I love going to my school campus to re-live those memories and it gets me extremely emotional. Its like every corner of my school has some thing attached to me.
So friends do u like to go to your school campus? Did u have a good school life? What’s the best thing that happened with you in your school life? Lets share!
Cheers,
Tutul

You are really lucky. I studies in two schools. Montessori and the one were i studied from class I to college. Even I am lucky to have studied in one good school. Our school was 30 mins journey by school bus. Now, it seem so near but as a kid we thought it was like never ending. I hardly visit my school now. Last time I went there was in a fest when my friends had come over.

Hi,
Yes u get more emotionally attached to your school if u have studied in one place. My brothers had to change a lot of schools and thats y they arent very fond of their school memories. BTW 30 mins is a good distance for a school kid and some of my friends use to envy me as i never had to walk long or board a bus.
I remember once a teacher made fun of me infront of the whole class as i worte in my school calender that i could not attend school due to heavy rain. He siad if i shout from here, u r going to hear it sitting at your home
It was great fun really , and i had tremendous relations with both my teachers and the students. I really miss those days

The last time I went to my school campus was in May 2008. It was my wedding day :) Yes, my school has a small chapel wherein I celebrated my wedding with a solemnize mass. It was a Catholic Wedding. We (me and my husband) held our wedding there because it was also the place where we met. Yes again, we are classmates but are not yet a couple then. Cheers!

Upto to my 10th standard, I changed into 4 schools, reason my father use to have transfers in his job. But I love to go my schools whenever I get change to go. In 9th I broke lot of rules which my parents have created, I feel ashamed of myself for doing this mischief. I have cheated the freedom which they have given to me. We use to bunk classes and go to beach or movies on cycle. I was given a new cycle by my father in 8th standard. We use to bunk classes atleast twice in a month. We use to roam in school uniform and when we thing know about this bunking classes feel very ashamed and think why we have done this.. In college life only 3 classes use to happen and everyone use to leave and roam in malls, beaches, movies,etc..

Hi madhu,
Dont feel guilty! Actually you should cherish those memories. We all have done the same mistakes which u mentioned and for me thats the age to do all these mischeifs.
After a sudden age life becomes so very monotonous and we all know that those days are not going to come back again. So y feel bad about it.
I use to bunk college, if not school and it was like a huge party every day. I miss those days honestly! \

After graduation I worked in my college alma mater so right now I am staying in my alma mater for almost 10 years now. But I seldom visited my elementary and high school campuses because I rarely went home to the province. Yes, it is always nice to visit our old schools because of so many beautiful memories. I want to see my elementary school because I have so many wonderful memories there as a child. It was so great to remember those old good days!

well you are lucky to be staying near your school, well i would done the same as you if i would have stayed near my school, i miss my school days very much, oh how wonderful days those were, well i have gone past my school, i just have a glance to face the front of my school, i never had time to actually enter the school, i sure would love to enter the school and if there was a school friend with me it would just so wonderful, recollecting all those wonderful times we had and all, yeah like you said each corner and each room would bring us some sort of memories back of the things we did and how we felt during those glorious and cute days, so sad we can never relive those moments, school days are the days i guess no one can refuse but cherish and miss, after all it is the place where we grew up learning and learning about friends and learning about life as well, cheers tultul

After years and years of life in the same buildings and in the same surroundings it is hard to let go of those good memories that you have had with your friends and those bad and embarrassing ones as well. I certainly have gone back to my school sometimes, and sometimes just walk passed it. It does bring back those memories, and sometimes brings back memories that you can't remember by just sitting at home. I often go to the library to study so I feel like a little kid sometimes too.

yes, my friend, once in a year, i like to go to school and memories my days of childhood and pleasant moments of my life. Generally, on the year day of my school, all my school friends go to school to memorise our pleasant past and discuss among ourselves. and we follow this every year without mistake.

i grew up in Southern California, and there you have to drive to get anywhere, lol. Through elementary school and some of jr. high, my parents always drove me to school. When we moved to another state, the jr. high and high school were both literally blocks away from where we lived, so I walked. Now I'm taking classes at a junior college, which I drove to. But I am thinking about taking classes online next semester.

Hiya, Tutul! To answer your question, yes, i would love to visit my school! However, i am currently working way too far from my alma mater so i find it hard to visit and be present in our Grand Alumni which is celebrated once a year. Thanks to social networking sites because my friends and classmates would normally post their photos whenever they have a gathering. So while looking at their photos online, it makes me smile seeing some of my classmates, reminiscing the fun times we've once had!
