Hi Everyone, I have three Japanese Spitz - two females and one male.
They are Jasmine, Monie, and Codie. I treat them like they are my own children.
I buy a lot of things for them, they also sleep with me, and we do a lot of hugging and playing. They are not just a dog for me, they are my children and I believe that my responsibility for them is to be their mother.
How bout you, do you ever feel this way to your dogs?...=)

I feel the same way about my cats, and almost my dog.
My two cats sleep with me all night. One of them has slept right next to me since she was a tiny kitten.
The other cat mostly sleeps with my daughter.
My older cat I used to carry atround like a baby in my arms. I have taught her to kiss.
The other cat has been taught by my daughter to reach up to her neck and shoulders when she says "cuddle".
The cats are my family and are equal to any person I know.

Like you jennybianca, I love my dogs too.. I treat them equally like one of my family members. I could feel that they feel the same way too... They treat me as a very important person, they give me all the sweetness they can give and I love them so much for that.

I do at times but not all the time, I mean I take him for walks and all but I can't really treat him as my own child in my opinion, that is just a little weird.......

Oh i see... maybe I just established that very close relationship with my dogs. We treat them like family members. And they act as if they are human. I had a lot of fun with them.

dog is our humanbeing's friends, they are not only loyalty, but also helpful for us.
we most of all treat them as our family, in fact , many years ago, i have a puppy, it is unbelievable cute, it has a black eye and brown hair color, its ear is very big as they are the wings. unfortunately, my mother did not like dog living in our house, so i have to give it to others. i feeled so sad.

Oh I feel sad about that... but if that's what your mom wants, it is better to give that dog. You must obey your mom or else that dog will just only suffer. Hope you could also take care a pet that your mom will like. I guess it could be best to try explaining to your mom how much you want to have a pet to love.

Well I do not own any dog but I love my neighbour's dog very much. It is labrador and I play with it. I am planning to own one dog and I will treat it as my family member. I will not even tie the dog with chain as well, I feel sorry for the dogs whose owners tie them with chain and make them as their slaves. Generally the owner should have the capacity to train the dog and teach them some manners and behaviours just like we teach to our children. But it is easy to say then done but one should try it is not tough to do... What do you say??

well, not realy actually. i love dogs and treat the dog like part of the family. then i stop loving dogs like i used to when i was a kid, cuz i hurts when they die. dogs have a little or less life span than humans, thats y they die early. maybe because u dont have any children right now to make priorities or maybe u didnt experience the pain it cost when they leave you. well honestly does hurt ^_^.take care

Hi jannafaye, maybe you're right... I don't have any children as of now to make priorities but when I will have in the future, I think I will still be the same pet owner as I am now... I really love pets especially dogs. Well with regards to the fear of pain when losing your dog, I do experienced it too... and yes it is so much pain to lose your dog especially if you treat him/her like your own child. But still I cannot resist to love them as I love them dearly.

Hi,I know about your feeling to dogs.I like dogs very much.I also like other animals, such as cats, rabbits and so on.Sometimes I feel the animals have the thought just like the human do.I think people must to have the responsibility to their pets.Because the most of pets can't live without the care of their masters in the city.

That is so true, most animals living in the city... they really need a home and a master who will take good care of them. Pet owners must be a responsible owners. from the day they adopt a pet, they must know their responsibility to them... that they become the parent of their pets.

I have a Lhasa Apso, that I do treat like a child.I bought him ,his own winter coat, and I put it on him everytime he goes out.It does remind me of putting a coat on a child. He loves that coat.He sleeps with me at night and lays on my lap during the day.He gets treated great.I also love to give him treats.

it is very natural for some owners to treat their pets in the way they almost treat them like a child..
For them it consider them also a treasure and they feel the unexplained happiness they got from their pets..
Pets who are so loved also bring backs all the love and care they can even they are pets who can do is to protect their owners..
They have their instinct way of showing their gratitude , love and care..Even they cannot speak at all..
That is the best thing why we love pets too..

Hi Genericbe, I like what you have said. pets can feel what their owners felt for them. They bring back all the love and care you do for them buy protecting you to the best that they can, they also show you how they like and love you, they are so happy to see and play with you everyday. They can be the sweetest animal to their owner too. Thanks for that...

Hi. My husband and I have no kids yet. In the meantime, our pet Xiefu gets all our attention in the house. She eats whatever we have for every meal - not leftovers. She's counted whenever we prepare or buy food. We have never given her any dog food yet. Also, she sleeps either in our room or in my sisters' room. We frequently hug her and since we are living in a tropical country, we give her a bath daily.

Oh that's so sweet to hear... I become so happy knowing that there's a lot of pet owner who treat their pet like one of the family members. It is really unexplainable happiness, that we pet owners have..whenever we take good care of our beloved pets. Cheers..

Hi, krystalheart
I guess your dogs must be very lucky to have a good owner who treat them like little kids.
I don't have a dog, but keep a pet is not allowed in campus, but i can see many homeless dogs on my way to class, many kind people always give something eat to them, i hope one day someone would adopt them and give them a home.

Hi Norah0804, I pity those street dogs you have mentioned. I hope that their owner will realized the importance of those dogs and how they could also bring happiness to them. =(
