Do you get mad if someone on your house use your clothes?

I really hate people wearing my clothes without permission. I have a nanny living with us whom i believe that she has secretly used all my clothes without even asking for my permission. I just found out that one of my clothes are out for laundry thinking that i haven't used that weeks. The hardest part of it is that she pretends that she is not a nanny by using my clothes. I was really mad at her. When I have proven it to her i just had a one on one talk to her giving her a warning. Since then i have already accounted all my clothes reiterating to her that if one of my clothes is missing then there's no one to be pointed out but her. With my observation, she is following my orders not to use my clothes anymore...

The nanny has no right to be searching your private stash of clothes, regardless if they are lying in your room haphazardly or neatly arranged in your closet. That would be equivalent to stealing someone else's property. No one has the right to get another person's things without their full consent. I admire you for giving her another chance, because not everyone gives second chances in cases like this. Just one act and poof...you're history.

Ha ha ha! That is funny! You are so lucky to be skinny because that way, no one would even dare to steal your precious clothes. Good point on that one!

i don't have to worry about that because i am the only female in the house. in my younger days though my sister, who is 7 years younger than me, used to just go in my closet when i was not home and wear my clothes and then instead of returning them she would throw them on the floor in the bottom of her closet so i would not find out. i did not know this until my mother went on a rampage one day and started going through her room which was a disastrous mess. she started pulling out clothes from the closet floor and lo and behold there were things there that i had been missing for months! don't miss that scenario.

It is bad that your nanny was using your clothes but good that you've observed this and have confronted her about it. I don't think it's right for someone to use another's clothes without asking unless it's a spouses clothing. In the case of it being the other half's I can understand, and even a child's clothing that you can fit into, but other then that I feel it is best to ask... even in those occasions if I wasn't certain I would ask.
It's only right to be respectful.

How can shee search your private things even without your peimission? I will surely get mad if someone do this to me. You did the right thing by giving her a warning ir she will think you know nothing about her doing that and consider your are silly.
Anyway, happy myloting!

This reminds me of the movie "Maid in Manhattan". Only that the chamber maid was caught on video tape.. I have no objections to people who dreams the big dream but to others who pretend/used/steal identity is unreasonable and should not be tolerated.
One day truth will be revealed that they cant be trusted and their chance of catching the good opportunity will be lost..

Yeah, I would like anyone to ask for my permission before I agree for them to use it or else i would really get angry. like you do not like others to use my clothes as i feel embarrass when others see my clothes wear by an strangers.

That is really funny. Not funny hah-hah, but funny peculiar, lol. But honestly that is one of the many reasons I have never hired anyone to come in and help with housework. It is a loss of autonomy. But I think I know how you feel because once hubby used my razor. I did two things about that 1) yelled at him, and 2) gave him all my razors and bought an epilator. I wouldn't like anyone borrowing that either, but not many people would want to!

Hi Hazel!
How old is your nanny? I think that is not a good thing to do to your boss.
But hopefully she won't wear your clothes anymore.
Personally, I hate it when someone use my clothes. Especially without permission. I always implement it in the house even with my sisters. Its a good thing that at least, they never use my own clothes without permission.

I think thats awful of your nanny to use your clothes like that. Be careful in the future, because when she thinks you've forgotten everything, she'll try it again. I once had a nanny for my son, who secretly uses my perfume when I'm away. She stopped using it when I found out, but later on, she stole some of my expensive underwears that I put on a special place ( because I don't use them very often. Well, I fired her immediately.

I wouldn't like it if someone borrowed my clothes without askng either. Not much chance of that here, I am the only female living here and my stuff won't fit my husband or sons. There is an oversized hockey jersey my son keeps snagging, but I get it back from the laundry.
At least she listened to you when you told her to stop.
