Less Computer, More Life. A new outlook

I've started to turn my life around, spending less time on the computer and more time doing stuff.
What would it take for you to get out there and do something? Get off the computer and experience life? I feel better about myself, about my job and about my life in general because I forced myself to try something different that wasn't related to the computer... The computer has a way to suck us in... there is plenty of time for everything and the internet isn't going anywhere.
What do you think about this? Have you made any changes in your life that have involved taking away something you were near-addicted too?

Hi friend,
See at this phase of time we all are too much dependent on the computer technology. But it doesn't mean that we are addicted of it.There may be some exemptions.Because for most of the work i need to use the computer and it makes my work easy. But when i am on holidays i don't even miss it.

I am addicted to my laptop and I my day wasn't complete without surfing the net. It's my routine already and I really want to turn my life around for a change. But how can I do that. I'm in a very lonely country where everything is so dull and boring. Japan.

You've certainly raised a good point here. I've always worked on my laptop as part of my job. For some time I've felt that it was already controlling my life, instead of me controlling it or using it to my advantage.

I used to love playing video games to lose track of time. now I work every day using the computer so the computer is part of my life. weekend or on holidays I usually spend the time to picnic with my friends. or go fishing or can also do other activities that can make me more comfortable in life
