A little of both. I can be a very good listener, but can also be a good talker. I think for me it depends on the situation. I prefer to listen , but am sometimes forced to talk to keep the convo going.

Hi abhishek_138,
I agree with you, it should prefer both in listening and talking..Why? because listening makes you understand the things you must know and be aware of.. It stores additional information that might be of help for you..
While talking, is a form of communication, its an expression of one's mind, what is his thinking, views and perceptions regarding any discussions you are engaged at.In here you can deliver all the knowledge stored in your mind..
So when you apply both listening and talking? It gives you the FREEDOM of EXPRESSION and relationship with other people. It helps develop confidence and discover all great things about yourself and able to share it with other too.
Thereby, you are able to adapt different circumstances and trials in life.. It shows your own freedom, to say what is in your mind and what you wanted in life..
If you gonna choose only one? there will be lapses in any conversation people you may encounter because some people are introvert and others are extrovert kind..

I am learning how to listen finally. The computer helps with that believe it or not. You have to read the other person's point of veiw then respond.
I am mostly a talker which can be a very large downfall. When you forget to listen that is very difficult for others to share.

I too am more of a listener than a talker but as you have mentioned, if the situation demands i talk.It all depends on the subject of the conversation.Sometimes i get people who keep talking non-stop and even if i try to say something they will still keep talking and won`t listen to me. I find such persons infuriating and irritating. What about you?

I would talk more if I'm with a listener, and would listen more if with a talker. More prefer listening than talking though.
