When and how did you get your first pay?

I used to earn some pocket money when I was younger by helping to plant flowers and such for my landlord. I went to his house on the weekends to water his flowers and clean up the yard and do little things like that. I thought it was boring at times but I was getting paid for it so I never complained. But the first actual job that I got a pay stub for was during my senior year in high school. It was during the presidential election and I got chosen to work the polls. It was a long one day thing and quite boring. Basically, I had to sit there and help people turn in their ballots.

hi,mat,i got my first salary in 1988,from a fertilizer company,where i was worked as sales officer.The first month salary i gave to my mother....and she purchased me a gold ring. Have a nice time.

Hi matrive, About my first payout, oh I did an instructor’s job in a typewriting institute when I was doing my computer course. It was really a nice experience even the pay was very low. I really enjoyed the job and got many students from the old age category too. Actually I forget about this job and thanks for remembering me the same.

I babysat frrom about the age of 13 on, it gave me pocket change that I had total control over. What a rush that was.

My very first pay was from a company that I only stayed with for exactly 30 days. Since the office was too far I was forced to resign and work for my aunt instead. The pay was high than the usual first pay because my income at that time for just a month is 12k in Philippine Peso. Good job for me to get that job but of course I much prefer where I moved after because of lesser work involved.

I got my first pay in my current job. It really feels good to finally earn something after how many years studying. I'm so excited with my first pay that I spent it all and almost have no money before the next pay day.
