Should they hang the judge who let the guy who
killed the cops go? Shouldn't he be held responsible
for his actions?

Not unless the judge took money from him. Judges like the rest of the legal system are bound by the law. They let people go every day they know will be back before them. I'm sure there are alot of people that judges haven't wanted to release on society but have no choice.
The judge can't be responsible for what this guy did. He didn't shoot anyone, he didn't know what this guy was going to do, I'm sure if he had he would have followed the letter of the law to stop him.
