I was at my friends house the other night, and I noticed that she closed her closet door. She left the room and I opened it to see what would happen. We were going to sleep so when she came back in, she shut off the light and climbed into bed. Not 20 seconds later, she started screaming that the closet door was open. Apparently she has a fear of monsters.
I didnt really react badly, because when I go to bed, I shut off the light and leap. I dont know why but im paranoid about something being under there.
Do you do anything weird like that?

Hahahahaha!!! That is so funny! I actually do the same thing that you do. I'm currently pregnant and our baby is due on Dec 22nd, so I'm HUGE! So, needless to say I've been getting up about a million times a night to go to the bathroom (one of the joys of pregnancy). When I get outta bed and it's pitch black in the house, so I'll run my big fat preggers butt into the hall and switch on the light really fast. Then I have to run to the bathroom and swith on the light. And as soon as I'm done I turn off the bathroom light, run to the hall, turn off the hall light, and then hurry up and jump into bed. I don't know why, but I always feel like there's something that's gonna grab me. My husband thinks it's so funny (the big jerk ;-) ), but it's just something I've always done. It's good to know I'm not the only one that does it! :-D

Sorry to butt in like this but why dont you have a bedside torchlight instead which you can use to go to the bathroom instead of going into the hall and doing those routines. I have a torch on my bedside table which I use quite often, if I hear any sound, to visit the loo, etc. Happy visit to the loo now on RyanneD and I wish you a pleasant and safe delivery. What are you hoping to have? Girl or a boy?

This is so funny. I am so scared at night for NO reason at all. If I have to go check downstairs because there was a strange noise or something, I end up looking very quickly and then sprinting up the stairs like a lunatic and jumping in my bed as if I am in the middle of the ocean and have to stay on my raft. We all do strange things I think..I have a friend who turns on ALL of her lights when her husband goes out of town. Her house looks like a giant Christmas light.

Well I have to go out into the hall anyway because unfortunately we don't have a master bathroom in our bedroom. We're in a small three bed one bath house so our bathroom is off fo the hall.
We're actually having a little boy and we're so excited! We have a little girl that's two and she's acting pretty excited about the baby coming too. She'll read books and sing songs to my belly, it's the sweetest thing ever! I'm due on December 22nd, but I'm really hoping that I don't go that far. I'm SO HUGE now and I honestly can't see how I could possibly get any bigger!!! Blah!!!

hi! I don't really do something weird before I go to sleep but I have this habit that maybe 'weird' to others. I do usually used mosquito net as a blanket. Sounds strange though but I find it hard to sleep if I don't it. My weird blanket gives me a feeling of warmth. I don't why I have this but there maybe a psychological explanation for that. I can really feel a sense of warmth and comfort whenever i have my mosquito net at my legs when I go to sleep.

Hi noajquimps! Your habit is not that really weird. My sister likes to sleep with a mosquito net on her feet. She also cannot sleep without it. Even now and then at on her big age, she still sleep with her mosquito net. Psychological explanation it is, my sister mosquito net on her feet makes her secure and comfortable, that i should say for me there is no sense at all. However, i respect and accept my sister on anything weird or unusual about her.

i do not do anything weird before i go to sleep. I just have a habit or a routine before going to sleep. I usually take a half bath, cause i cannot sleep not being fresh. My television must be turned on, because i need some night light before i turn off my bedroom light. I have a pillow place on my feet, to keep my legs elevated, also i put my fold blanket on my tummy, to keep me warm. Lastly, i must have my mobile phone under my head pillow. Of course, lastly i never forget to pray and thank God for my day!

I don`t do anything weird before I go to sleep. But I have one friend and she do something little strange before she go to sleep. Everytime she put the curtains down. I asked her why does she do that. She told me that the problem was the moon. She don`t like it. She said to me that she can sleep when the moon shine in her room. She has little fear of it. She feel bad and strange if she open her eyes and see the dark sky and the white moon. I understand her but I like the moon. While I`m watching it I feel peaceful.

Well, I don't do anything weird ... I just check my gates and light ...
I put my mobile in charge after switching that off ... these are under my daily activity before going to sleep ...
Thanks ...

I keep some source of noise in my room like television or radio. It makes me feel protected from what I'm not sure. I can only stand a few minutes without those things before I go into a panic.

well. when i was young i really fear to sleep alone and always think there are some monsters or something under the bed so i have to check that before i climb into bed. i also prefer to turn on the light all night time to keep me not so scared.but now i do not fear that much already.

I don't really do anything weird before I go to bed at night. I don't really know any people that have those kinds of fears either. But I remember when I was younger I used to have to sleep with a night light. I gradually got to a point when I got older I was okay with no light on when I slept.

Hi metromanda
Hahah your friend habit is funny. As for me I dont have any unusual habit. Usually i pray to God before going to sleep. But there are times where i forgot to do it, and my mind just go stray. Dont really know what im doing on that moments. Its like being in autopilot until i realize i was on that state. Oh well that doesnt necessarily happen before going to sleep, it also happens to me all along the day.
See ya and happylotting.

Hi Metromanda,
I do not do anything weird before I go to bed. What I usually do are turning off the lights and TV, shutting the windows in the dinning room, kitchen and the changing room. Before, I was so afraid of dark and thought that there were ghosts standing behind me, I did not want to be the last one to go to bed, as I couldn't stand at dark and slept alone, so I did not like to turn off the lights. After I pray to God and have more faith in Him, I have not felt afraid in dark for 2 to 3 years and I can sleep alone now. However, I still can't watch horror films. The background music scares me a lot. lol
Best wishes,

Well, I like to play games on my cell phone before I go to sleep. If you call it weird, it might be. But what your friend did can really be called weird.

No, not weird things. Before going to sleep, I type articles for my blogsite and do some research. Then I listen to love songs in the radio. I couldn't think any weird things I did before going to sleep.hahaha

It is normal to fear at bedtime especially when you watch scary movies during the daytime, when you grow up, you would realize that monters are not the creatures to fear but people who break into your house to hurt you. I don't do anything weird but I always make sure my doors are locked.

The only thing weird I do before going to sleep is that I leave the TV open. Even if I am very sleepy, I set the timer/sleep on so that it turns off when I am already asleep. Also I set timer on so that when I wake up, it is with the sound of the TV. I don't like to leave my mind vacant in the dark, because my mind would then be racing and thinking of the million things that I need to do.

I too have my routines before hitting the bed but I cannot call them weird. I safely lock up four doors that lead to my house, tuck my pet in bed. put off lights, put off the tv, switch on the mosq. repellent, put off the computer and then only can I sleep soundly.

Lol I'm sorry but I find that very funny even though I'm guessing she is a young girl at least I hope she is a young girl and not a grown up. But I dont do anything weird right before I go to sleep even though I watch tv while I'm sleeping and it has to be a certin show. I guess you can call that weird but hey we all do some weird things.
