Century's ago science is none existence. But now our daily live is all depends on science..Every day new technology develop, medicine, industries, and other new product and invention that century ago people don't imagine that that's is possible. We even put a man in a moon..Day by day science answer new question that before no body can explain but religion.. As all new theories of how man was created and how universe was formed. Do you think the day will come where religion will fade away?
Even today lots of young people don't go to church anymore. Will that day come?
if it will come do you think its bad for us or good?

Resolution One: I will live for God. Resolution Two: If no one else does, I still will. - Jonathan Edwards.
I have carried it with me. I am a roman catholic, and as long as I am alive, I believe religion still exists despite of the new rising technology.

Yes, I think we all do. But are you not aware that you also accept science and even embrace them? From kindergarten to College what we learned from school is all base on science.. Big Bang theories etc. etc..what do the bible says? what we are created in six days..and in seven days God rest..
What do Big Bang theories says?
So what do you accept more? the big bag or the genesis?
Its not a question of faith or belief..
But example if you got sick do you go to a doctor or a priest?
.............
In the bible its states don't take everything literally..May question then what is literal and what is not in a bible?
What is your border line? between science and your faith..

I have to cite that what I have quoted was not taken from the bible. It was taken from a human just like me.
I have learned both religion and science from my elementary days. I need to mention that I excel in both subjects. But I need mention also, that I believe in the Genesis. I think it's you who need to read the bible and need not to understand it literally.

okay then..If I interpret it literally then..The world was created in six days..and you believe that God created the world in six days? I don' know what version is your bible..I have three bible in my room.. and before you read the genesis read the first page..theirs an instruction how to read the bible and it state and quote that you must not read and interpret the bible literally..
thank you.

hi bulastika^^;;
i don't think so. science also started thousand of years ago and if it will replace religion then maybe it should have already influenced even half of the world's population by now but not yet. you are right though that day by day a new discovery and invention is brought by science but it doesn't mean it explains everything we sought. and the theories you've mentioned still remains a theory and not a fact. so it's just a matter of faith which one believes.

I would like to state that theory and facts are not the same.
Facts means truth and theory is speculation. You need to look at the dictionary. You cant say that theory's are based on facts. Because when you say fact, its the truth. And theory as described is just a speculation.
The Big Bang Theory you mentioned, was just a speculation. They thought, in their own thinking the world was created like that.

Your right..its still a theory but they are all base on a facts..
Theory's are facts that can't be recreated..
example you're stranded in an island..And you meet local tribe their.
They don't know what apple is or any fruit bearing trees..
I don't know if that Island really exist..but lets just say it does for the sake of our conversation.
It' a fact..its like an apple..Is apple real? then its a fact..
But What if I ask you to make me an apple? can you create an apple? no.
Then its become a theory.
An apple come from a tree.. but still we don't find that tree yet..we only have an apple...
the tribes people can see that your holding an apple but they can't picture out the apple tree.
for me that is a theory..apple fruits
religion - an apple tree..

Religion is fast fading every day. If religion was as intelligent as the "faithful" like to believe, religion would accept science as a partner. Also religion would have to accept that over the 2 millenniums since religion was foisted upon the human race, there have been countless archeologists digging in the holy land looking for proof of The life of Jusus by artifact, inscription, monument, pot-shard, and or other remains. To this day there has never been one iota of evidence that Jesus ever lived in Palestine. Not a single shard has ever been found, yet there were many learned writers who lived at that time and who recorded the local history faithfully.

Any archeological and accredited proof of the existence of Jesus life in ancient Palestine would be displayed in Huge Print, and Huge Pictures in every church and museum in the world! Why would it be kept secret?
If you have this evidence you are about to be the richest and most influential person in religious history!
Trust me - The Pope wants to see you immediately!

Hello bulastika this is checkmail and think that time will come when there is no religion but only science and real humans.Yeah its actually an prediction of an individual not known properly. But he said that its the nauture of everything to revolve completely around itself.Mean once started will have to end it and again start from the starting point.Means its will be like an prehistoric human age ot us.And well i don't think that deep whether it will be good or bad for us, but lets hope that everything happens for good cause and in good faith.

You should not just read science books alone. You should religious books too. As an individual you should be open minded, and read not just what you like. When you read varieties of books this well make you more knowledgeable not just on one specific thing.

Yeah..You mentioned prehistoric human..your right..when did religion started?
I mean science explain our history to the details..How about religion?
Is it not religion are made just to explain the unexplainable?
And maybe hundred years from now we all accept the truth and factual..
That life really is just a science..
A petri dish of evolution.

Your right..and who do you think need to be open minded? Even in seminary we talk about other religion and we study them and yes since birth I read bible..
To be open minded is to listen to what other think. Not what you force other to think like you.. Cause if you only believe what you believe in then your closing yourself to learn more..If you only want to listen to your own voice and reject what other say just because your contented to what you know then you will never know what open minded means..
.....................
If you're answers is the truth don't be afraid, for it will set you free. And what ever question thrown to you don't be threatened for your in a right path..
If you faith is question or in doubt, make it simply and don't make it complicated..For in simplicity you find courage and clarity..
God bless.

Bulastika,
Yes, I still think there will be Religion look at those stars in the sky and galxies we have not even explored. There has to be more than this on this earth.
I want to believe there is a heaven and hell and that heaven is a very pretty and peaceful place. Yes, I understand about our youth not beleiving in God anymore and science extendsing life soone we will be living 100 still feel like we are 50 so there will more people on this earth eating all the resources like food and water and cargiving costing a lot more in the end. Something got to give and I think God has a plan for that too.
Thanks sincerely Unique16

It nice..One supreme God..but ...do other religion accept that ideas? Do there views same as your? If not so what make you say that all religion has one Supreme God? it must be accepted by the whole to make it one voice. For centuries religious war exist because and simple because they believe that their God is the true God..If all religion accept your views..then their will be no terrorist, no religious war only peace on earth.

thank you for your comments..
Maybe God has a plan..But I have another question..Theirs a lot of religions..Does it means that we are created by many gods? and whose god created us?
In science theirs no problem..Science only proves what is factual in nature..
But in religion.. Its religion has different views of how the world was created..then who is saying the truth?
I mean, theirs only one history and I'm sure it not her's.

Hey I really wish that what you some becomes true in future.Science developments have been fast paced and they will be in future. But I am little skeptical of the statement that there will be no religion but only science. How developed we become, but to remove religious sentiments and to build harmony among all religions will be an uphill task considering the present scenario.
But I really appreciate your thinking and hope that every one does.

Hey I meant to say that it will be difficult to remove religious differences among people in the near future.I am not saying that with scientific developments we will be able to prove or deny the existence of god.But me concerned about the religious wars which are being fought all over the world.

I'm sorry I'm quite a little bit confuse..and quite don't get your point.
So I will just answer in point blank and hopes that I have a correct reply..
Thank you that you appreciate it..
And I have an answer in my upper thread that may help you know where I stand into this..
I believe science is a tool that will help us more believe in God..
science is not against religion science can prove that God exist...
Religious people are afraid that science may destroy their faith..funny do..because they are the one who question their own faith..For what they believe they don't understand, then surely science can destroy what they believe in..
But use science to enhance once faith..then you become a true believer..
................
To all who post in this thread..I'm sorry for the delayed reply..
Actually I have replied to all of your comments yesterday..but I don't know what happen all my return comments are gone..and it's frustrates me..cause I really try my best to answers all your comments yesterday only to find out that my reply are not posted..

So you mean that religious difference will always be their even though science develop in great phase?

I personally hope religion goes, but to be honest I think there will always be religion.
There are people out there that do not believe in science and some people who do not believe in evolution or in the existance of a god.
I am very open minded but from my experiences of religion some seem to be a form of brain washing (maybe thats too strong a term) what I mean is some people can't function without religion.
I hope religions if they do exist in the future can learn to live with one another as most of the wars and conflicts are caused by religion.
Also look up in the sky at night that is science at its best.

No, Apes are our cousins, like gorilla and chimpanzee, the difference of apes and monkey is that apes has no tail, monkey does..
But our true ancestor of all mammals if I'm not wrong is a "mouse"..A simple mouse..is the first mammal on earth..

I agree with you totally..
I'm a science person..From far I remember I loves books..and I read lots of books even religious one..
But funny thing is the more I read and understand science the more I believe in God..
For the things we have and everything that been is so magnificent that only God can create..
Its not how, where, when, cause science can answer it all..
Its about what...what you have, what you feel, science can't answer what..
theirs no room for what in science
cause what after what is if..
and if is doubt..and science hates doubt...

And if that time comes.. when theirs no religion but science what do you think the society look like? The mind set then is if theirs no heaven and hell means that I can do anything here on earth and as long I'm not caught and get away with my crime. Or will our planet be in harmony cause we have one belief? no more religious war.. no more terrorist.. what do you think?

no i don,t think so. because there are somethings science cannot perform .but god will surly use his children by his spirit in them to accomplish such things as miracles and supernatural intervention.

Well, it is really true that each and everyday people tend to spend more time trying to discover this and then that... those kind of stuff. People are more focused on actually discovering what olden people failed to explain (though there is nothing wrong about striving for a thrive), but we should always put God first (whatever religion you may belong at).
I believe that scientific discoveries really do help us; in fact, we are using products of science and technology almost every second of our lives which helps us accomplish our tasks easier, but these "stuffs" are really nothing without our belief in God. Without God, we are nothing.
We can live without the development in the scientific world like what olden people used to live at, though I would have to admit that it would be pretty much different; but with God's graces, we could live.
Though our religions differ in a way or around, I believe that there is 'OUR GOD' who gave and continues to give us life.
Scientific discoveries often times create a misconception between what is taught by our religion.
Today, the number of superficial and heartless people weighs more than those with a heart and a soul, but I am praying that people would live through God and not through the discoveries that we could never have had in our hands without God who has given us life and wisdom that made it possible for us to actually be in this world (and in this state) and cherish all of his gifts that some forget to appreciate just by itself.
Working on discovering new things proves no wrong, but having the knowledge that we could explore what God has in store for us as a gift (which is good); but keep God in our hearts and make him live inside you, through your system and through your soul!
Science could never overpower God, not even in a single aspect; we, the people, should continue to live by Him.

Ha Ha who asked that ........Did not you know the religious cults .
They will never let the religion die.
And i take a positive stance towards them they in actual lead to some good people behold although science has made man great in terms of comforts but it had led to depreciation in moral values....

Yes, some uses religion as money machine..lots of preachers get rich because of this scheme. We are a being who have a longing, a conscious conscience that need to be guided..That why cult exist..They know we are hunger for answers, answers without question..That how they make money..They give us an answers..
But true religion is within us..True religion full fill our thirst, true religion put us in peace..and if your in doubt then you have a wrong religion.

well .... serious, thats a very good question
and i understand why you would question todays society
and beliefs.i think religion will never fade away as long as theres
people who need more than hope .and science now days is being studyied even
by the vadican church , forever they will need each other.
how can a scientist believe in god and how can church study weather get me ..
@bulastika (5966)

3 Dec 09
no..I don't...lolz
But I agree religion will never fade away.. but because people need hope? that I don't agree..people need hope..if theirs a problem that they can't bear to solve..but need divide intervention to solve it..It means its out of your hand..and your "hoping for an miracle" So what if in the future their is no disease, no wars, no crime? so what are you hoping for? hope only exist if theirs a calamity.. Hopes only exist...if we feel hopeless..
...........
I have a gray part here..what do you and quote " how can a scientist believe in god"
"and how can church study weather."
First if your a scientist faith is Irrelevant to your work, You follow guidelines, theories, and not what the preacher says..
And Church studying weather..Why would church study the weather..( I know don't take it literally, But I don't take it literaly) church don't study the weather or other stuff. their main concern only is their religion..If they use science they use it to prove that God exist..they use it to their own advantage..
