The following are the list of problems that can be the reason 1. Your hard disk has bad sectors. How old is your hdd? 2. You have put some new hardware that is causing problems. Did you install any new? 3. There is a virus, which is using up the resources, and making the system hang. What anti-virus do you have? Can you be more specific by thinking and deciding what may be the cause on the above list? Get back if you feel anything.

-First of all, do you have an anti-virus, maybe is the problem instead of the solution. Install a good and free anti-virus like avast! and: 1. start/run and type "msconfig" search for "start" and uncheck everything 2. You will find if there are active programs you don't need, uninstall them. 3. You will find if there are viruses, seek and destroy. 4. search for viruses in the system folders and boot while ms-win is off with avast! 5. uninstall avast! 6. never use a anti-virus again, too much ramm XD -Do you have a video card? if not then you can tune up your ramm memory lowing the graphics reserved memory: 1. restart and press F2/Del to enter Bios 2. Search for Performance/Main board/etc 3. low the graphics reserved memory to 32mb or like -Also you can low your sound perfection by: 1. Start/run and type "dxdiag" 2. chouse sound and in aceleration pull-down to "nothing" -Defrag your hard drive with "tune ups" or "Norton system works" or like. -Do you have windows Vista? that's bad, remove any gadgets, low your graphics settings, buy more ramm and a video card or install XP/W7 -Finally if you don't play video games too much and want to just work try using Linux, who never have thouse problems XD Good luck

LoL, your suggestion is too extreme. First of all, not using any antivirus while using Windows is very risky. The point is, use necessary antivirus, don't use too many antivirus at the same time as antivirus tends to work in background and eat memory much. And for video card thing, if he didn't really install anything or change the setting, then a video graphic error is not very likely for this case. But I definitely agree with using Linux instead of Windows :D But don't say that Linux don't have any problem like that. My Linux often crash for wrong configuration, and somehow the graphic display is very poor. *sigh*

I use a CC cleaner to clean my computer then disk clean up from my computer then you have to use anti-virus to remove any trojan and worms which makes your browser slow. You could try to scan yiur computer system using AVG, Eset nod32 or antiMalwares malbytes to remove spywares in your computer.

I also have the same problem as yours and I consulted it to the technician and he said my computer was infected by a virus which was true because when he checked it there are really a lot of virus inside. So have it check by a technician.

There can be a hundred reasons for your problem... You need to have your computer examined by a professional PC guy. My only suggestion is that you save what you do on computer at any moment. You never know what is going to happen to your computer next second. I believe the same trouble happens to everybody. Computer is computor. You use it you have to live with it.

Well, firstly you have to determine is it software-type of crash or hardware-type of crash. How to determine it? Simple. If it is a software-type of crash, then you are likely still able to move cursor, open task manager, turn of num-lock and/or caps lock from your keyboard. If it is hardware error, then you can't do anything to your PC but reset it. Next step, if it is a software error, check some of these possibilities : 1. Virus, a virus likely to eat up your memory resource and cause crash upon writing state to disk. Use latest updated antivirus to fix this. 2. Other program installation crash. If you lately install other program, there's a possibility that it will crash with other installation (especially when the program vendor is not trusted!). Simply uninstall the program and reinstalling it back should do fine. 3. OS error. Well, not much to say but it's related to number 1 and number 2 also. Repair your OS using your installation disc should do fine. Ok, follow next step. If it is a hardware error, check some of possibilities below : 1. Hard disk bad sector. If you have a hard disk with bad sector, you should run throughout surface scan on your disk to avoid your system to write on bad sector. If the bad sector is too much then you should replace your hard disk. 2. Electricity fail. Unstable voltage can cause your computer to hang. Remember that computer is electronic things also, so it also depends on good electricity. Unstable voltage will shortened your electronic circuit age. Use a stabilizer to prevent this. 3. Memory (RAM) fail. If you just recently install new memory, that might cause this crash. Try to remove the new memory installation. Oh, and don't forget to clean your memory also, as it might cause crash(memory write/read fail), this happened in my office :( 4. Other hardware error. There are some way to determine what the error is, but I suggest you to take your computer to a technician :) Good luck with your PC pal! Regards.

hi friend i think u may be using lots of softwares ang running programs , so that it takes lots of spaces for running process from your RAM, otherwise your system configuration may be low so u can not work spedy, in other think your system may have more or excessive clutter files and junk files so it causes decreasing in speed, for all those problem you can use the SYSTEM MECHANIC PROFESSIONAL9 and CCLEANER SOFTWARES it will repair all the problems and if you have virus and trojan program in your system, you may use the klaepersky anti virus program also bye

When was the last time you cleaned out your harddrive? When was the last time you ran a virus scan? When was the last time you erformed a systems check? Sometimes you have to do things like that. Computers can only take so much. If there are too many things overloading the memory it'll slow down and freeze quite often. Also if you have too many tasks going at once it will slow things down quite a bit.
