i seriously want to try going to a chiropractors office to try it, but i am a little nervous since chiropractors manipulate the spine and crackle it! the thing that i want to know is, is it a good idea to go see someone who could potentially break your neck in three places...

I have been to a chiropractor several times, also my brother is a chiropractor. In general it is a good idea, they can really do some good things to your back and neck. But, just like doctors, try to get one that a friend refers not just any one out of the phone book. For the most part they are very well trained/schooled but you can find quacks in any field.

There are chiropractors and there are chiropractors.
Some will do a lot of good and some will do harm.
Do you have a sacro-occipital chiropractor in your area?
These use your own body weight to correct alignments and do NOT manipulate.
Do you have a chiropractors association in your country?
If so, make sure that any chiropractor you consider is a member.
