Christmas music. What blah!!! Okay, I'm with you here. Which seems to be the general reaction to your topic.
I used to work in a small office and my boss would start playing Christmas music in the office the day after thanksgiving! If I had a dollar for everytime I asked this man to please turn off the Christmas Music. Christmas for me is not a good time of year. My father past two days before Christmas, at my home, in my new house, the first year I was hosting Christmas. I mean seriously, I truly have never gotten over it. A little christmas music a day - but after that please ... I mean do we have to have it in the elevators and the restrooms...
Don't get me wrong here. I like christmas, I believe in God as my savior but Christmas music 24/7 will drive anyone insane. After all its not about presents and trees - its about whom and why and faith. So, lets give everyone a little peace and good well and not start the Christmas Music until at least December 1!.

Hi Jugs,
Just enjoy it. Don't be irate of listening to all these christmas songs around. Two more weeks and it will be back to the regular sounds and songs. Just bear with it. It only happen once a year for about two months and the rest of the year the regular sounds and songs.

i can feel how irate and bored are you hearing the same songs all the time. just enjoy it friend. we can't do anything about it-- we have limited christmas songs here. or you can just switch off your radio to lessen your stress for hearing these type of music LOL or just make yourself busy and focus attention to something else that you will not be bothered listening to these songs!

I'll tell you what's really weird abour me. I love Chistmas music during the Christmas season, but, the day after Christmas, if I hear ANY Christmas music I get sooooo depressed. It's funny, but, that's how it is with me.

I actually don't mind that there is Christmas music being played everywhere that you turn during this time of the year because it is actually the right season for the Christmas music to be played during. What drives me insane is when they start playing Christmas music prior to the last Friday in November. That to me is just too soon to start playing holiday music. Christmas music is really one of the things that helps me to really feel like the holidays are coming.

Hiya jugs,
Love Christmas Carols but I cannot put them on a lot here as they donĀ“t like them in this House so I put them on when no one is here and that is not very often. Failing that I put my Radio/Cassette on and plug in the earphones and away I go.

I know what you mean. my husband and I listen to a lot of foreign radio, for this exact reason. a) The Christas songs they play are different, or the ones we know but in their own language, and that makes them interesting b) they play a nice combination of Christmas songs and their own every-day music.

I LOVE Christmas music and could listen to it much longer than it is played on the radio. I have probably 30 cd's that I play constantly when I am at home and from a wide variety of artists, including some that are not famous groups or artists. On a recent trip to the Kroger store they had some for $5 each from famous singers that I bought 8 of, just because I knew who the singers were! All but one was fantastic!!

Hi, jugsjugs. Yes, the songs are playing really early than usual. That is how the Big DM is too. They play Christmas songs all day. I am like can't they play another song??? So, with me, I will just turn the radio off or I will put my CD in my CD player and listen to what I would like to hear. I can be a bit annoying. They play Christmas songs all day long. And I don't want to hear them all day even if I am in the Christmas, holiday spirit.

Well, you probably won't get any until after the first of the year. I have actually been waiting for them to start. I enjoy the songs every year. Like Nat King Cole and Perry Como but then, I am an old fart that enjoys that sort of thing. I would get tired of it constantly though.

The radio station my husband works at only plays two Christmas tunes an hour and the rest of the music is Country tunes. I know we have one station who plays nothing but Christmas music and they have started on Thanksgiving Day. I do not understand why there are stations that insist on playing Christmas music all the time. I think it is ok to play one or two songs and then play a lot more Christmas songs the week of Christmas.

There is one cute song I was listening to this year. The song is called A Box of Rocks by The Song Trust it is an Indie (independent). It is a young girl who is telling Santa to bring her brother a box of rocks because her brother is bothering her. Her brother pulls her hair. It is a cute song.

Would you be OK with Christmas music being played out of season along with normal every day music?

You need to invest in an ipod their great to have when your shopping. This way you can listen to your own music. Just plug it into your ears, crank it up and you are in lala land. Who doesn't like Christmas music it only plays for one month, Hello. Well the best of luck to you and X-mas shopping.

I like Christmas songs, but not when it's playing everywhere 24/7 (or so it seems!). And then when you're not anywhere where music is being played, one of those songs gets stuck in your head and you can't stop thinking of it - ha ha. It drives me batty when everyone is getting ready for the holidays way too early . . . when I'm not "in the mood" yet!

I love listening to Christmas music. My favorite songs are the traditional ones such as Frosty, Ruldolph, Jingle Bells and Rocking Around the Christmas Tree. The other day I was listening to the song Bring Him Home, Santa. It is a sad song. A little girl (she is six) writes Santa a letter saying the one gift she wants more than anything is for her dad to come home (he is in the war). Every time I hear it I cry.

I love Christmas songs because they give me so much joy and hope. I wish everyday is Christmas because it is a season when happiness and love abound.
