Hi friends.
Should mobile phone be allowed in shcools and colleges. I have seen many students misusing them in the classroom, texting during the class hours.
Whats your opinion friends should cell Phones to be allowed in the schools and colleges. Share your views friends

No. I do not recommend cell phones in class rooms. Concentration for students as well as lecturers/teachers will be affected. But during intervals and after class hours, it can be allowed.

After seeing to all the discussions here even i feel it should not be allowed in schools and colleges the studends mindset will be diverted, 
they loose concentration towards studies it better the parents can know about there childrens by going and meeting the staff in schools and colleges.

hi deepa, yeah, i some schools cellphones are allowed, i think they might be posh for talking not for studies, i have seen so many students like this.. what ever it is, till they finish their schoolings, parents should not allow to take cellphones, ipods like that.. thankyou, nice topic, have a good day.

Yes its smost commona and a fashionable thing for students to keep the cell phones. They are mis using it. Its better that parents keep there children on hold for cellphone till they complete their education. Beacause of this the students are loosing there interest towards there studies.

Hi Deepa,
Here cell phones are already banned in school and I think it is a good gesture. Some parents are worrying that they can’t follow up their kids because of the ban. Here there was a problem in school because of the misuse of cell phone and that is why the ban came. School is the place for studying, not for playing with mobile. If there is any urgency they (parents) can contact in school and most of the schools are near to their residence so it is not difficult to reach the school. Considering the problems among the children with the usage of mobile phones it should be banned in school.

I dont think the schools are following strict rules, sometimes my nephew only carries his mom's cell for school. In one way i thing parents giving so many luxries leads them to spoi l there carrer indirectly. obviously now a days the students are misusing it then it should be completely banned.

I do not think it is necessary. Because all the students will be busy in sending sms or attending the calls thus giving less concentration on studies. Nice topic. have a nice day

According to me they should be givem very limited access to the students to use them becasuse the only way the parents can track the students where abouts. I also agree the students will be busy texting friends or attending the calls.

Yes, mobile phone should be allowed to student in schools and collages.
But only in two condition.
Students should switch off or put the mobile in silent mode while in class.
Students have to minimize the use of mobile phone while in school or college campus.
Teachers should also maintain those conditions

Yest they should be allowed to use cell phones in schools & colleges to trace them by their parents. You are correct the students and the teachers should switch off the mobiles or put the mobile in silence mode in the campus so that it would not disturb anyone.

i think mobile phones should not be allowed in schools and colleges. I worked as a lecturer in a college for some years , most of the students only misuse the mobile phones. simply they will send sms and mms during classs hours. they will chat something with the friends. this will definitely reduce their interest in their studies. if the parents wants to contact their daughters and sons better they can contact in the office in the emergency case. more than that it is not necessary in the colleges and schools. especially in schools it is not at all needed.

According to me atlest in few issues they can allow, Since the students are misusing definetely it should not be allowed its better that the strudents parents come and enquire about their children whereabout in the schools or colleges itself. obviously if students are used and addicted texting mms there interest towards studies will be reduced 
and there carrer will be spoiled.

Hi. I guess it depends on the school and the teacher to issue cellphone policies and to discipline the students in school. In my sisters' school, the weren't allowed to use the cellphones inside the classroom. The teacher will confiscate the cellphone and will call the parents to claim such and discuss with them the impact of the kids' cellphone violation.
For me, cellphones should not be totally disallowed in schools because these are important tools for the parents to monitor and know the whereabouts and condition of their children while away from home.

I think now necessary because crime is increasing every where and till our child is not return back to our home feel in tension. At least we can call them what happened.
