addiction is not a disease

with all the talk about addictions why do people continue to characterize their bad choices as a disease?

Addiction..or rather an addictive pesonality is a disease. It is a mental health disorder and is just as legitmate as physical diseases. Mental health disorders ar diseases of the brain.

It is a bad habit and chances are it is going to attract some disease.
