California Natives

Hi Catholicpatriot I'm not a California native but I did live in San Diego for a while I how high are taxes in California? Also at one time wasn't California having energy issues as well? Its a beautiful state I enjoyed going to Disney World when I lived there I was in Orlando (I can't seem to remember if Disney Land is the one in Orlando or Disney World is in California) I always get them mixed up Are you planning to leave California as well if so is it for the tax reason or some other reason?

Hope you like reading :D Actually, I plan to leave L.A. in the next 3-6 months. Why? I'm tired. I love freelancing and running my own businesses but I can't afford to live here by myself. My former fiance' and I have slept in separate ROOMS for nearly 2 yrs. now. After making one last attempt to make my relationship work last year, I mentally threw in the towel around the time I was given the heads up that my job was being eliminated. No real prospects here so I may either relocate to Vegas or Dallas (where family is based) where the overall cost of living is less, not just taxes. Another reason people may be leaving is that the only nice neighborhoods are $$$. Being middle/working class is a struggle here as many of us hate coming home from work and being greeted by someone selling food out of a shopping cart or the trunk of their car. I wanted to leave when I graduated from high school but was seriously discouraged by family from doing so. Now that we're all older, I think they see it's for the long run.
