I got it on ebay for just $47 and it has an intel pentium 4 cpu @ 3.2GHz with HT technology, 1GB ram, and a 120GB hard drive. This computer replaced a 10 year old Pentium III system and it was had at an awesome price. It is really cool that you can get things so cheap on ebay. I won it in an auction is why the price was so low. Do you think it was a good deal? Back in 2006 the same thing would have costed $600 and I think that even now it is probably worth a pretty penny.

Wow, for only $47 dollars that's a ridiculous steal in my opinion. It definitely shows how fast technology has progressed over the years. 4 years ago I got a laptop for $1000, but now I could get one for the same price with 4x the hard drive space and at least 2x if not 4x the RAM. You should probably upgrade the RAM as 1GB slow, not terrible, but slow. Rather than dumping money into upgrading this CPU, you could also save up and get another computer down the road to replace this one.

Yes this is just my secondary computer. My primary computer has a Core 2 duo and 6GB of RAM. I just thought it would be worth $47 to replace the "old" computer.

Yeah... I have another old computer too but never use. It's a Dell Deminsion 8100 with a 1.3GHz CPU. That thing costed $2600 back in the day. I've learned though that even a 1GHz Pentium III is faster than that Pentium 4 CPU. It doesn't seem logical does it? Also I have an old compaq with a 450MHz Pentium II, and an old Pentium MMX machine. I never get rid of my old computers. You never know when one might mess up. I gotta have my internet.

For a computer that is cheep. dirt cheep. I usually don't trust the qulity of something that cheep. I'd be be too concerned about the condition its in. Or how well it would last based on how I use it.

Well I won it in an auction and the seller was a recycling place I think. In some recycling places you can just go in and find computers and they will let you have them for free or almost free. There are no recycling places like that here though I don't think.

Yes, this is a very good price. If it was in India, I would have spent atleast four times the amount you have spent in buying this piece. My PC also has the same specs, with just a 80 gb hard drive, and I paid, you are right, the same $600 in 2006.I purchased the PC in hire purchase, and only this year, I finished the loan.
