Hi jugs, I will do the same thing as you as well for sure. There are always lots of variety of delicious food are available during festive day. to avoid weight will go up after eating heartily all sorts of tasty foods. Moreover we are indulging in those various type of cheerful activities with our loved ones and friends. Definitely we don't have time to do physical exercise. That's why most of us try not to eat much during any festive day like christmas.
I wonder the reason you are unable to do exercise. Yeah, due to this I think the most suitable way for you to lose the weight is on diet. I believe you will look slim without the tummy if you are able to have regular exercise on time persistently. And to go on diet at the same time as well
Take care and happy posting

I am due to have an op on my feet in the new year as i find it pain full to be on my feet too long,as the joints swell up so quick and they can do an op,i have had to wait 2 years to be told about the op as well as getting booked in to have it done.So i shall i hope be able to run up and down the stairs with the children to exercise after 6 weeks of the op.I shall in the mean time try to cut out sugar in my coffees and teas and try to drink more water. Then its cutting down on all those goodies like crisps as well as chocolate.Good luck.

Same here. The thing is with me though, is that I love food. That means I also love to eat. But I can maintain some form of discipline when it comes to my body. When Im starting to feel uncomfortable because I put in some weight, then I can train my body to moderate my food intake. The challenge at this time is to try and pace myself considering that it is the holidays and food is always abundant during this time of month.

Good luck! I don't know how many times I have made that resolution and it didn't go over too well. Many, many times. Winter time is just not the best time for me to lose any weight. I hybernate and am happy spending my time trying to keep warm and well. I am not energetic at all during the cold months of Winter.

A diet, eh? Good luck to you. As for myself, I don't have the patience to do that. I'd rather eat good food, than diet. LOL

Well goodluck to you. I guess all the people here on Earth are planning to go on a diet after the Holidays because it is most anticipated that many of us will taste different kinds of food and likes to finish all the food that we want. It will be a 2 weeks food eating festival for all of us. Me i plan to do not eat much. I don't want my eyes and hands grab foods that delicious in my eyes. For sure they are all taste good but I don't want to be feeling full because I can't breathe. I will be eating in moderation. The diet will still continue and no excuse.

Oh to be able to lose the weight. Unfortunately, one of the side effects of the steroid medication I'm on for my back is water weight. I'm up and down. A pair of jeans may be tight today, but fit tomorrow. Some days I have to take my wedding rings off to keep them from hurting my fingers because of the swelling.

Me too. I did the P90X thing and it really worked but you have to stick with it. I don't get out as much since we moved to Houston, TX and I'm feeling it. I'm going to try and wean myself off stuff during the holiday so when I start it won't be cold turkey and I can actually do it. Good luck.

Hi. Many of us had that idea idea in the past - going on a diet after putting on more weight during the Christmas and New Year holidays. But I have never become successful in doing it. I guess many are correct in saying that if you want to go on a diet or lose weight, it should be done or started NOW, as in TODAY - not TOMORROW, not ON SOME OTHER TIME.
But with the right attitude and the will to go on a diet after the holidays, I'm sure you can do it. I really hope I could also have that will power.

Start your day with a glass of water. As soon as you wake up, gulp down a glass of cool water. It’s a wonderful way to start you day and you only need a lesser quantity of your breakfast drink after that. A glass of water lets out all your digestive juices and sort of lubricates the insides of your body. You may have your morning cup of tea but have it after a glass of water. It is good for you.

I have been trying to lose weight also. I never have much time to exercise though. I am too busy working all of the time online or have so many things to do around the house. I try to eat right but that is not always possible either. Good luck to you.

Going on a diet is one of the number one New Year's Resolutions that people make and one of the New Year's Resolutions that are rapidly abandoned. If you know that you want to lose weight in the next year, why don't you go ahead and start now. I've been dieting along with exercise for most of this past year and I've been very successful with it. The reason that I feel that I've been successful has a lot to do with the fact that I didn't start it at a specific time and I've felt no pressure to succeed except for my own determination.
If you really like loosing weight is something that you want to do, go ahead and start now.
