I don't tend to do the main shopping in my house but we try to get the cheapest but still nutritionally valid food we can.
after all even in an economic crisis we need to eat well.

I do agree we need to all still need to eat well even with all the rises in the bills as well as all the other every day things we need that are going up all the time. But i have found alot of products that are only having a different name, yet they still have the same taste as well as they are alot cheaper.

When I go for shopping I stick to the brand that I already tested and proven and I also consider my budget but I am flexible when I see that there is a new brand with a cheaper price to my previous brand then I go for it. I also read the label before deciding to change to another brand to see to it that I get the same benefit with a lesser price.

I usually buy the same brands everytime I shop. I think the reason is if you go with the cheaper brand and find out it's good then you continue to buy it over and over. If it's not good then you must go with the more expensive brand as you know the cheaper is lousy.

I have many brands I like . I get whatever is on sale that week. Usually one week it is Pepsi and the next week it is Coke.

I also try to get as much as i can for my money as that way i still have a bit of money left over.I like getting the best deal when i go shopping and if there is something that is half price then i will get twice the amount if not more as that way i am not spending anymore as well as having to get it at a dearer price the following week.

Not always. I use coupons and the local sales to make my grocery list. But there are a few things that I will not scrimp on. Miracle Whip is one, as well as Hunts Brand of Ketchup; and I only make macaroni and cheese using real cheese sauce. I never buy the kind with powdered cheese....it's just gross.

It really depends. If I am in one of my usual stores that I visit and they have some new products where there used be ones I would purchase I will check out the ingredients. Usually they are making something cheeper. Like for instance bread. I usually get wheat bread and if I see a type that has taken over for the one I used to get it may be a scam. Instead of wheat it is carmel colored. Rather than things like this I usually buy the same brands.

I tend to be more adventurous now when it comes to
shopping. I try different brands when it comes to
food, clothing, and other items. This is to make
sure that I get the best quality out of the money
that I spend. It is often surprising to discover
lots of brands which are much cheaper than the ones
I usually buy but have the same, if not, much better
quality than the ones I used to buy.

I tend to try to keep the price of things to a minimum if i can as then that leaves me that bit more to get other things with.I try to find the best buy of all kinds of things like food as well as clothes and if there is a two for the price of one offer on i will always try to get at least two lots as that way it saves money another time that i have to get those things.

Most of the time I will by the same brand unless there is another brand that is on sale then I will buy it. I do not buy anything online I just go to the store to do my shopping.

Well technically yes, I use the same brand of food. But I do try other brands too to see if I like them. Staying with the same brand for too long will make me bored lol.

Yes, I usually buy the same brands. Sometimes I try out new things, but my list is usually the same from week to week.

My list usually is the same every week as well, also i always work out what is a good buy so that i save as much money as i can.If there are offers on like two things for the price of one then i will get twice as many of the item.I always stock up on the expensive things like washing powder when it has a good offer on it as that never go out of date.

I usually buy store brands because they are cheaper. Except in the case of orange juice and meat, where I am kind of snobbish and like my brands. I recently switched off conventionally processed meat and buy all organic meat from the health food store. I also am partial to Tropicana orange juice no other juice taste as good to me.So i buy that.

I buy aloy of the same brands also. I am very picky when it comes to food these days. It just does not taste right to me anymore. I do buy different brands sometimes also to see if they are any better.

I do tend to stick to all the same brands, not unless it works out alot cheaper if another product is on a special price as then you can get alot more for your money. We still eat well, but things like deserts are alot less as well as if we have a desert it will be cheap desert like ice cream or simular. The only time i change my brand is when it is on a special price where as it works out cheaper than my normal product that i buy.

Hello jugsjugs!
To some extent, yes. I am loyal to certain brands when it comes to food. Quality is definitely one of the factors I consider. Well, there are times that I try new brands. But later on go back to the brand that I am used to.

I had never really thought about it. I guess I do buy the same brand each week. I try to get things on sale but sometimes that just ain't possible because of the brand that I stick with. Maybe I need to start looking at the prices and change around a little.

It used to be that I always just depended on what was the cheapest, but anymore I'm finding that I do depend on the same brands all the time because I've changed which grocery store I go to and they don't have nearly the variety that they old store did. However, the brighter thing in this is that the food is so much cheaper and there are less things to tempt the children with at the new grocery store. Besides that, the food tastes just as good (if not better) to us than the more pricey brands do.

I have had more time to have a look at what is the best price as i like to get as much as i can for my money now aday as that way that means i have money left over to get other things that we need as well as try to have some left over to put away for a rainy day.I try to make up as many cheap meals as i can for during the week as that way it do not really matter as much as the children always have school dinners so they tend to not eat alot at tea time.During the weekend i like to have meat as that way we all get to sit down to a proper meal, knowing that it is a decent meal as well.

Most likely YES.If the brand really fits to my taste then in that case I could buy it over and over.I do such thing to make sure that I'm getting what I really like. There are other times when I have to buy new brand of course, other times it makes me disappointed as to its taste so I would rather stick to the one I knew of. Or in case where it's my first time buying such, then I usually go for how nicely it looks especially when shopping with cold meat where the brand is new to me. I have known for personal experience that the looks of cold meat has something to do with it's taste most of the time.
