YOUNGER or OLDER lover... which one do you prefer?

I am a woman and personally, I'd like my partner to be 2-5 years older than me. Having the same age as me would also count though. I just like it that way. A few months back, someone who's 5 years younger than me, showed that he's interested in me. I frankly told him I don't go for younger men.

I have always preferred older women. I dated a few younger women when I was single, but for some reason, I have always been more attracted to older ladies. Younger women and older women each have their own advantages and disadvantages, but I liked the older women so much that I married one LOL

Well considering that I've been with a much older man for almost three years, I would have to say OLDER! I can't imagine being with a younger guy after being with my current partner. I used to date guys my age and younger, and it's amazing how different their perspectives on life are. I guess I prefer a man that knows what he wants out of life and what he expects of me. I don't like playing guessing games, and it seems like that's what happens when dating a younger guy. I'm sure that there are probably younger men out there that are a little more mature than some, but they are few and far apart.

We all have different preferences in choosing the person we love. Some choose older because more mature in handling the relationship, responsible in providing for the needs of the family & treat us like a baby. Some choose a younger for their own reason. For me I choose the older that is mature, responsible & loving for we can never say that all older are mature, responsible & loving.

i like to have a older lover than younger,because older is matured than young you will not hard to hold your relationship because she is not been irresponsible now than a younger.,older lover is more experience than a younger one who will be make you to hard to hold your relationship.

I am a woman who has tried guys the same age (give or take a few months), a few years older and those a fair bit older. I found guys my age tend to be more immature and much older guys are OK although the differences in lifestyle and tastes can make a big difference. I have found that I have a much better connection with guys who are a bit older e.g 4yrs and I am very happy to have it that way.

our society prefers Older lover if your a woman and Younger lover if your a man, i don't mean to be a sugar daddy ok? but i think it all boils down into how mature can you handle a relationship..though age does matter in preference of the society but who cares to what they would say? we all have the right to be happy specially in a relationship.. if true love knocks at the door of your heart, will you ask first, hoe old are you? hehehe,just to make you laugh a bit, but there are instances that younger lover,may it be the girl or the boy, are more mature on words,thought and in deed.. it is just unfair for those who truly love each other despite of their age gap to be persecuted by the society,right... for me age is just a number, what matters most is the genuine love you have for each other...

Hi alexysa belle: That depends on the situation. I think that old people are at the same time interesting. For me a boy looks for a younger girl to feel younger and we look for an older woman because it's like a challenge to the boy to win her heart and i think a girl would love to find someone older than her to feel protected and younger than her because of the maternalistic feelings. Hi alexy! For me it doesn't matter what is our age gap. Love is what is more important. And you can never tell, you might get an older one but is immature and get a younger one but know something more than you. Haha. So it really depends on the kind of person you want I guess

Personally I prefer them to be older as they're more mature and more likely to want a relationship. I'm not really into the lets have fun and see wht happens kind of thing.. whts the point?!

Since I'm 19, I'll say I'd date someone older; not anyone OLD-old though, lol. I'd date anyone under 30, probably. I wouldn't go looking for someone that much older than me, but if I found someone, that would be the cut off age.

hola alexysabelle.. in my opinion age doenst matter.. the most important thing is that you lvoe each other and you respect each other.. right? but for me i want an older lover but not that too old.. because if younger than me i not that so sure if he can stand by me always..

Ideally, women often prefer men who are older...usually, just a couple of years is enough. But as reality sets in and years go by, the maturity level of the individual eventually becomes important. As we all know, LOVE can never be explained...it knows no reason...even AGE, it cannot quantify anymore.

Normally girls wants to be loved and cared,wants someone to look after them,satisfy their needs and hence girls look out for older lovers. As girls mature fast they want to be with a person of the same maturity level and hence the older lover.Man on the other hand, looks out for lovers,young or old doesn't matter.

Hi alex! Understandably the younger lover would be more suitable and good for me. I can learn from the younger one and can feel that I am also young like her. I think sometimes age takes the back seat when you are deeply in love with a person, you tend to ignore his/her age.

Alexysabelle - LoL..what??? I've never heard of that before. Where you from? Well see that depends. I won't date younger guys whether they are one age younger than me. I'm 22 yrs. old at the moment I would date that he's a couple of months older than me which he has the same age so pretty much the highest I would date a guy would be 27. Why would I go younger...especially people that are under 18 can go to jail for that. Nowadays younger ones are really immature which they aren't looking for a serious relationship. They all want to party, drink, get drunk and I don't see no point of that. They are barely experiencing it many do it after they graduate from high school. Like I said, no I wouldn't go younger and plus if you go too high how'd you expect to make love. Ugh...don't want to imagine its gross plus have children but I respect the other ones that make their decision.

To me it really doesn't matter. My man of 10 years is just a little older than me.
