listener or pretending to listen so you can judge? everyone needs a good listener from time to time. key is really knowing the person you confide in and who listens to you. there is a difference is hearing and listening. some people hear to critique, judge, or always having to put in their two cents. others listen to your true feelings, try and help you sort thru them and perhaps ask first if they can give you positive feed back on what could have been done differently you know. You never know what a person is going thru until you really listen. Instead of making this a new years resolution which i never make any anyways cause i strive to be a better person tomorrow than i am today.

I think I am a good listener. My friends would often call me up and tell me what is happening to them, their troubles, their aches and their joys. I always give time to listen to them because that could be the time when they need someone to release whatever it is they are carrying within. I give them some advice, although sometimes, I just keep quiet and listen. That could just be the thing that they need at the moment.
