The real answer is there are only two religions. There is the religion that God accepts and the one that He rejects.
Matthew 7:13-14 (New International Version)
13"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
In the time of Noah, how many religions were there? Again only two! The religion of those who got inside the ark and the religion of those that stayed out.
That makes it so much easier to find the one true religion. Because we only have to look at two!

which I know there are four of religion: Buddhist, Hindu, Christian and Islam. And Christians split into two kinds that is Protestant and Catholic. Religion is holding us to the straight and provide guidance for us to choose what is right and wrong. Religions do not want to use force in guiding his flock, and our self will decide it's important or not. If we believe on religion which we have then I'm sure we don't fight each other.

It is very difficult to give correct account of it.Religions mainly created to keep the human beings in control and to avoid not to do any harm to others .God is one and all most all religions says the same thing except some changes. Those who can understand the what exactly the god is , probably that person does not follows any religion.

There are many different types of religions in this world, and too many to count the different ones, because there are the mainstream religions like Buddhism, Christianity, and Muslim, just to name a few, but there are also other ones in native tribes around the world.
In fact, there are nearly as many religions in this world as there is the number of people, because everyone interprets religion differently. :)
