Would you fall in love again with a former lover?

I guess it depends on the person. I had relationships in the past but there is one guy whom I fell in love again when I saw him after several years. So I guess, am guilty of falling in love with a former boyfriend/lover. But I cannot imagine falling in love again with my other ex-boyfriends because I consider them as out of my life.

I would say it really depends on how and why things ended between me and a former lover. If our relationship ended because he cheated or did something really hurtful to me, I would be quite wary and reluctant to fall in love with him again. However, if the relationship ended simply because of trivial or not-so-serious reasons unlike the ones aforementioned, then I guess I would still give myself the chance to fall inlove again with him (my former lover).

Hi, welcome to mylot!! :-) That's a nice answer. I feel the same 'coz I find it hard to trust again when a guy cheated on me.

Hi Arystine, Will I guess it can happen to anyone and even me who always say I will never fall in love with my Exe's again I know in the future it will happen. I have not seen any of my ex so i cant really say but there is one role I impose to myself "if I seen an ex again and fall in love with him again never show it and avoid him" I know this one i can do.

Yes, we really don't know. It can happen to any one of us. :-)

I have been in the same situation as you have. I seen an ex after a few years I still had feelings for him and fell in love with him again. Its hard not to fall back in lve with him when I was going to marry him.

I don't think that I will ever fall in love with my former lover if I meet her because to me what is past is past. I am now leading my happy life with my family. She won't have such a chance to ruin my family life. Thanks for the discussion, arystine.

Well if time and reason will dictate, then why not. However, both must be free and total single by chioce or accident, and the feeling should be mutual, that you still care and attracted with each other. As they say love is sweeter the second time around, allegedly.

The phrase "Love is sweeter the second time around" doesn't work all the time. It depends on the person whom you share the second chance with. Thanks for the comment
