You can do everythong on the ipod touch you can on the iphone, except make calls. As I understand it the new ipod touch has a mic and a camera in it, as that is the 3G ipod. I have the 2G, as I am not going to pay $300 just to have a camera and a mic. I might as well have the iphone which is cheaper. You can go on the internet with the ipod touch just like you can the iphone, however the ipod touch doesn't have a flash player, and the iphone might have, but not sure. Someone else might enlihten us about that, as I have never had the iphone, as I am not with AT&T, and they are the only ones that have the iphone right now. So, I would say that iphone would be better, as you can do everything on it. Take care, and happy mylotting.

I don't have both of them but every time my cousin visit me I always borrow her Iphone and Ipod. I think the only difference of those gadgets is text and call. The Iphone have everything that Ipod touch have and the advantage of buying Iphone is you can text and call using Iphone but the Ipod touch only have the application and music player. But it still depend on the buyer what is much fitted to his or her like in gadgets.

Rosekiss explained it very well. I've got an iPhone and it does everything, I have an iPod and it just plays music. I guess its a personal preference, I have too many gadgets and having an iPhone combined them all into one.

It depends. If you have a smartphone and your paying $100+/mo anyway get an iPhone. If you dont have a cell or you dont wanna pay that much for service get the iTouch. The difference is the phone has more app compatibility aka the apps that use the radio/gps and obviously it can make calls and the iTouch cant. And no, the iTouch cant view the internet "just like the iPhone" can. The difference is the iPhone can browse the web anywhere you have service, the iTouch can only browse where you have wifi. Which I assume the main spots you have wifi will be places that you have access to a mac/pc anyway so why would you browse on something so inferior if you dont have to? Not to diss anyone at all just giving you the facts. =] The iPhone works just about everywhere and its FAST, but again, the downfall is the expensive data plan.

The iphone has a camera and built in GPS. The ipod touch is great but does not have a camera or built in mic or built in Gps. The mic is available on a headset. The iPhone is so much better than the Droid. The Droid has 250mb to store apps the iPhone with over 100K apps has up to 32 GB of memory. On the iPhone you can search the web while on a call. The Droid doesn't do that on verizon. Android phones have different specs and OS versions. This makes it difficult for developers to develop apps for Android phones. Iphone is the present and the future. The next iPhone will be even better. We should see it within 6 months or so!
