Have you ever been a part of history that will be recorded?

That is awesome that you got snow and I know I have heard it is rare to have it snow in parts of Texas,it is rare we get snow where I live, but this past Friday we got a little over a foot of snow which was quite nice and it might stick around until Christmas, and I am not sure if I have ever been part of history, but when I was in high school,me and some friends were buying practical jokes for graduation and this guy from a local elementary school was asking questions, and when he was done he went to shake my hand, and I used my hand buzzer on him,so I am sure it is something he wont forget lol,and I am sure there were a bunch of kids laughing about that when they saw it.

Apparently the 70s sucked when it came to weather.

I've lived in Bakersfield, CA, we called in Bako because it was 109 degrees for two weeks straight. What town do you live in?

Oh, out by the airport. It looks a lot different now I'm sure. I'm in the West Chase District off of Westhiemer.

No i dont think it was near the airport. I can not even remember if it was north south east or west. But i remember being near the 610 loop. The snow had melted on the streets as soon as if fell but stay on the grass a few hours. It was after hurricane Aleacha. In the 80's.

I heard that on the news yesterday. I always laugh when the South gets snow since they aren't use to it. My Uncle lives in Austin and a few years ago it was icy there he called to tell us the city was shut down. And, by the way, I thought you lived in like Oklahoma or something? Did you move and I missed that?

Yes we moved, the last time we mylotted you asked me about writing for the rock n roll website. I was in California at the time. Now we're in Texas, obviously. Next we are looking at Hawaii.

Yes, I will go down in the history books. I am in that group of Americans that is totally opposed to the first black American president, Barack Huseein Obama. Never before has a president been so un-American and so unwanted.

Black, white, woman, it doesn't matter, if they are un-American I don't want them representing my country, I want them out!

We went to both, but I don't remember which one was talking about the money **snip** "More recently, the U.S. dime was 90% silver until 1964. Starting in 1965 it no longer has any silver in it." from the article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Debasement
We also went to the White House - LBJ was President then

I don't remember if I've ever been a part of history or not, besides being alive when the first African-American person was elected as President, now that made history. We're supposed to get snow Mon or Tues. which if it does it won't stay around for long either, it will all melt away.

Wow, snow huh? I havent seen real, or even fake snow for that matter. I would love to experience that someday. Well, a lot has happened to the country that I am able to witness all of it. I know that it will go down in the history books. I think not only in the national history books but international ones. As to the locality, the most prominent incident would be the strongest storms that have hit our area that it caught the attention of international storm chasers. I think there was someone from the National Geographic, or the Discovery Channel, Im just not sure which one exactly.

Snow will do it November 20, 1950. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The city is hammered with the worst snow storm ever on that day and all of the roads are screwed up and there's virtually no transportation available. Guess who decides this is the perfect day to be born?

That is very rare. I was in Houston Texas several years ago when it was hit with an ice storm. Now that was interesting with all those bridges. It was almost a week before they had 10 opened back up so i could be on my way home. What year was that anyway? 1996?

Wow!! Snowed in Houston Tx? This does sound like something unusual for the Record books. At least hopefully it was enjoyed by those not really used to seeing it. We have been having milder weather than normal here, except this weekend is supposed to be a lot colder, so who knows.
As for History, I would have to say being in an Earthquake here in Feb 2001 in Seattle was something that will stick in the Record books until a bigger one ever decides to hit us as well.

I do not think I have ever been a part of making or setting a record. I bet there will be a record number of accidents in your neck of the woods as well, because it is such an unusual happening. Let us know how the whole experience pans out. Enjoy.
