Are you afraid of Death????

Seems like everyone around me is dropping dead like flies. A very good lady friend of mine died of a stroke. She was a fine lady in her eighties. She was a mother of five and one of her son's is a friend of mine. Let me tell you a story around her death but first let me ask you a question. Are you afraid of death???? This wonderful lady had a stroke. By the time I got to the hospital with my friend, she was on complete life support. In time they determined she was brain dead. She never wanted to ever be on life support so the doctors decided to take her off when her family could all get there. After the family arrived, I was allowed to go in with my friend. As I looked at this wonderful lady on life support, I noticed she had real good color to her but something was missing. I could tell her spirit was gone. When they took her off life support, the color started to drain from her face. Just like a horror show, the look of cold,pale death took over her body. It was horrible to watch. They should have let the family stay home. Are you afraid of death??? I have direct experience with being a spiritual being. Perhaps, I'm lucky. This frightened me and I know better. It must be terror for those who do not know, for one day we will all go through this. Do you feel terror?? You know me. I have to figure it all out. We are all born spiritual beings placed in a physical body. The longer we are in our physical bodies, the more seduced we are into thinking that is all there is. This is a lie! Even though our bodies give us a frame of reference, we DO see our spirits. That is where the only connection really is. Reality reminds us of this when we see a cold,dead, pale, lifeless body. If we insist on the lie that we are only physical beings, then we must accept the lie that we will be the cold, dead, pale, lifeless body. Since we seduced ourselves into thinking physical is all we are, we are frightened!!! Are you afraid of death?? I am and I know better!! After it was done, there was alot of crying. People huddled close to their religions. Lord save me was heard several times. If you are to believe the lie that we are mere physical, you are going to need saving. Who better to do this than God? Fear of death, fear of hell, it hurts me that it all depends on fear. So I start to question why it is done this way. We know we are spiritual from the beginning. We are lying to ourselves so it's our fault not God's but He knows there will be fear so there has to be more answers. Life, our lessons and our adversity can get pretty trying at times. If there were no fear involved with death, more might choose death as an option to fixing their problems. That would defeat the purpose of the lessons in life. Now we can't have that now can we???? In conclusion, If I scared you, I'm sorry. Know that it will all be OK. If you believe in God, know He could never give up one of His children to death. If you don't believe in God, God is going to take care of you as well. Look around at this well ordered world. It all works out somehow. It will for all of us as well. What do you think??
