First love and first kiss.

I remember the first time I fell in love, he was different from the rest. He was tall with a stance that struck me as odd, he wasn't normal. We quickly became friends and i learned more about myself, I learned to stop judging those around me and most importantly I found my true self. This isn't a fairytale, although it could be. Christian girl falls in love with anti religious boy, maybe a horror show for religious folks who don't want their girls shying away from God. But that was me, and that was him. It didn't happen right away, but I remember when it did. We were at a party one night for our philosophy club when he walked in, I didn't immediately go up and hug him, because I was nervous. I never got like this around him. That's when it hit me, all this time I was slowly falling for him. After almost a year of being his friend my chance with him happened. I was upstairs in my room doing homework when my best friend calls me. Apparently she was talking to him and he said he was interested in me. I should have known at the time, that it wouldn't work out and he would never like me, but I listened intently as my heart beat irregularly. She had told him I liked him. The next day is clear, butterflies flying in my stomach as my heart felt like it would explode out of my mouth any second. He kissed me, my very first kiss. It wasn't a light kiss, but a real one. At the time it felt weird, and I was a bit disappointed. Later on after we kept at it though my thoughts changed. He was my first love and my first kiss. I don't think I'll ever forget him.
