Fortune or Fame?

People lives for a certain goal and purpose - for God, their family and friends, the world and its beings and just about everything. But if you were given a chance, what would you rather get: FORTUNE or FAME? When we have money, we could establish our own business empire and make it grow, we can drive the finest luxury car that most people get a chance to take a hand only in their dreams, we can own every designer item in town and the like. But according to one of the richest people alive today, living with fortune means more than being a rich fellow; they even say that it was like living in hell, probably for the fact that they cannot do what common people do. With regards to fame, we could go out and be chased by lots and lots of flashing lights from cameras of the paparazzi. I mean, wouldn't it be fun living like the stars? You could also make a huge profit out of your fame as every magazine begs you for a photo! But ever thought that living in fame also pays? See, you cannot live your life your way because there are too many eyes watching each and every move you make, even your fashion taste and getaways. So, literally, what would you rather have if you are to choose only one?

As far as I am concerned, I think I prefer body health more. If I have a good healthy body , I can do a lot of other things on this basic. But for the fortune and the fame, I think I will like firtune most. If I have more fortune,I can do a lot with the help of money. Happy mylot.

Happiness is one of the most important and basic feeling that people should have in order to survive and overcome the obstacles of life. We may find happiness in almost every thing and every single aspect in life if we would learn to open our hearts for that certain thing. Thank you for your participation.

I have always loved the idea of being famous but it's true that fame does fade. You could only have five minutes and that's your lot, if you go after the fortune angle if you're careful that will last so much longer. I'd go for fortune first and then make my fame! lol

So yep, it is fun to enjoy both those worlds. Fortune pays, so does fame. The only way to actually be of good use of these two is for us to be able to distinguish when and where we would impose them. We should be careful in choosing. Anyway, we only have one life to live and we should take the course of path from where we wanted to live. Thank you for your answer and have a nice day!

Fortune!! imagine how many things we could do to help others building industries through out the world which mean more job opportunities if ever God trust me with such fortune i wont throw it away for ridiculously luxury car/houses or other material things. but i will enjoy it normaly with all my fortune(amien!!) i would rather remain anonymous so fame is an absolute no no for me

I wish that there are more people in this world who thinks like you; giving value not only to one's self, but for others also. You know what? I have been looking forward on using myself as an instrument to spread love and joy in this world. I really wanted to someday help out with all (if possible) people who need most help. To be true, fortune gives a huge contribution in helping people who's financially failing. It is really good to help and share blessings! Thank you for your answer. I wish someday we would be able to team up in helping others =)

To me it doesnt matter cuz if u have fame then u will be famous and with fame u get money. AND if u chose fortune, it depends if u do good things with the money and if u do bad things with the money, u still would get fame cuz u would have fortune

Yep, that is true. The result of our actions just vary on when, where and how we do them and how we make use of what we have in our grasps. Thank you for your response!

Hi, tricia. I go for fortune. Fortune, can change everything. If I'm wealthy enough I can do whatever I want. I can be fame because of my wealth. If a person Is wealthy he/she become famous due to their assets. A person can be fame with the help of others but you can't be wealthy if you only rely on them.

True. Fortune could really change a lot of stuff, but shouldn't be everything! Even if you have money, you should continue to keep things real and be you. We shouldn't lose our faith in God and love for His creations; that is a thing that we have to live by. If we are to change, it should be for the better and not for the worse. If I was to be asked, I'd go for both fortune and fame. Everything has their good and 'not so good' side which doesn't exempt those two. =)

with fame comes the additional problems, that may not be there if werent famous. According to me, it is only people who make somebody famous or not. It is people who consider somebody is great and spread the same rumour, and it is the same people who complain after sometime that the particular person doesnt deserve so much fame. First of all, it is the people who mistook him/her to be a great person, so if somebody has to be blamed, then it has to be the people. So, I wont go for the fame, I ll go for the fortune. I would rather be fortunate to live a peaceful life, than being famous and fading after sometime. Stars fade! The fortunate doesn't.

Yeah, you have your point. Funny, because I wanted to actually attain both fortune and fame. Anyway, both of them has their good and 'not so good' points. Results only vary on where we use our fortune and/or our fame. =)
