Why we are here!

Okay, so here are some pretty cool theories i've heard: apparently there is a 1 in million chance that we are a computer simulation created by some higher power. How anyone can put odds on it i do not know. 1 in a million? how do you work that out? :P Also, we were put here by God or some higher power to see the effect 'free will' has on us. As a sort of test to get into heaven, because we have free will, we can choose to be good or bad. any thoughts on either of these? Also, would be cool to here any other theories some of you might know of? (can be as stupid as you like) :D

In my honest opinion I think we just got lucky and won the evolutionary lottery. But I've heard some crazy theories... One of which (And if you've seen The Fourth Kind you will know what I mean) is that we were put here by Aliens from outerspace and that they are farming us like we do with cattle. All the "disappearances" are because the Aliens took them away to do goodness knows what with them. And all the "abductions" are sort of how we brand cattle or shear sheep.

Hi tsulani: i agree with you in the fact that this is one of the strangest theorie about human creation. You have mentioned abductions one of the most controversial subjects of these conspiracy theories. I recommend you to read in case you haven't read it before, The Demon-Haunted World by Carl Sagan, it's a nice book about pseudo science and it teache people to be more skeptical for their own good. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day.

I honestly have no idea. I think the 1 in a million was just someone stating the improbability, since that is a figure of speech. I think I am here because my parents made me. Past that, I try not to put too much thought into as my result will be fruitless, and I feel like "why are we here" is not an important question. Instead it is better to ask "Where are we going?"

Hey there. Whats a life without some mysteries, there mysteries make us suffer , motivate us , force us , set us free as well. As Allah said to angel upon a question about the existence of man when He knows whats gonna be the whole story, that there are things you(angel) wont understand. When an angel cant understand and is kept from the reason, then why share with us. cheerz buddy and an excellent question it was

Hi adamc: I beleive in my Christian values that makes me think there's a God and we're here for a reason, we have to follow his words to go to heaven. At the same time, i beleive in free will, we have the posibilities for salvation or condemnation and basically it's a job that you developped day by day all of your life depending on the way you share your knowledges and your feelings with your brothers. One of these theories i have heard is one that tells we were created by alliens and that they're presented in the Bible. It's funny the way Raelians manipulate these Biblical facts to build their theories.

Hey, that's a cool thought. Rarely do I find myself thinking about these things, just because.. I've never been the type to think of all things existential. . But if there is a higher power, whoever or whatever that may be, I think it's probably cool for him to look down (or up - or around - wherever these higher powers ARE) - and check out who's doing what. Because we all choose different paths in life according to what we plan for and what we accomplish. Very cool thought.
