Laptop or Desktop?

For me, Laptop is good to go with. Because I have been using a desktop PC for the past 3 years and I had found a lot of things frustrating. The major thing is the lack of portability. I hate being locked to one place. Whenever I sit in front of my desktop PC, I feel as if my system is controlling me. But laptop is something cool to work with. It is really portable in all aspects and the best part is that a laptop is not far from a full fledged desktop in the present day style and configuration. A lot of laptop PCs are being manufactured which are suitable for high end gaming and multimedia purposes. So laptop is now able to fill all the slots of workability an comfort.

I think..for gamers like me it's desktop..when it comes to time laptops for a long time really can easily outrun by many new models of it..you cannot upgrade its parts to whats new and necessary..(if you'd understand what i meant..) and also like what others says "definitely cheaper than a Brand New Laptop.." However laptops are more efficient because it is portable..you can bring it anywhere..and also less for power consuming...

laptop is good because its is portable we acces easily and it is very personal to use it.

I prefer to use laptops, because of its major advantage over desktop personal computers - portability. And moreover nowadays if you're ready to shell out a few extra bucks you can buy a high end laptop and enjoy performance to the extreme!

ofcourse everybody would prefer a laptop.but desktop does have its advantages as well.we can make available many features in a desktop with very less price.for example fixing a geforce card in a desktop wouldn't go more than 3000 or 4000(it depends upon the MB of the card).but if the same feature is included in a laptop it would cost even up to 8000 extra and eve more.ofcourse the portability and lightweight makes the laptop much advantageous.and that's why i prefer laptops

It depends on your requirement. If you are planning to use for office purpose or if you are a travelling guy then you may opt for laptop as its more portable and handy. But if you are just going for home use and for gaming use or something like that then you can go for desktop as you can get more config done for the same price as desktop.

I have both a lap top as well as a desk top. But I prefer the Desk top, since I am more comfortable with the Desktop to a lap top.

I would have to say that I like a laptop more. Like you said they are more portable and you can use them anywhere.

I prefer desktop because I am a game freak and desktops are better in gaming. It is also more robust and is cheaper. Also its easier to upgrade.

it depends. if you buy a laptop the advantages are 1.portability 2.handy because of light weight. 3. no need of seprate power backup UPS 4.Low power consuming ...................but friend there are some disadvantages also like 1. spares and maintenance is costlier as compare to desktop 2. all the parts are very delicate and must be used very carefully, children can mis handle it and you are out of it. 3. Upgradation of hardware is difficult like in desktop you get pci and pci express slots. so it is up to you to decide that which product is right for you.
