I am a graduated student now. When I finished my university courses I wanted to know more things in Children's Literature, and fortunately I passed the Graduate school entrance exams. But I found some of my classmate didn't care about their academic. They told me they just wanted to get a good education background.Because it will help to find a good job. So why do you study? How do you think about it?

Hi Satisfy, We need to study to have enough knowledge, appropriate attitude and skills in our line of interest or course. Education is a preparation for us to fulfill a certain mission and that you will be equipped to do it. If you make good and excel in your studies it will be YOURS-- nobody can take it away from you. It's a kind of treasure that will never be lost you can always enhanced it but will always be there with you. Be happy enough to share your knowledge to others, it will make education more valuable/significant! Welcome to Mylot!

There are many reasons why we study. . . Your friends are right that they need an education as a passport for a good job but they will regret it later for they will find themselves dumb . ..

I think that are only two reasons why people have to study. People only study in order for them to earn knowledge, virtues and values so that they can used it in real life situations. Educated person have in life. Because they are generally treated with great respect which definitely hard for a non educated one. And lastly, studying is our passport to land a job and be secured in our future dealings.

Hi. I studied real hard to become a professional and pass the related board examinations. I wanted to have a good job in a reputable company after graduation. Most of all, I studied hard for myself and my family. I wanted to be able to provide for the education of my younger brother and sisters.

Hi satisfy1879, good topic! I study because where are alive to understand things, to evolve our minds and the conception of everything that is around us, studying make you understand why you are here, how you live, etc... and knowing that you can make your life better. Nowadays people thing that study isnt important, but keep in mind that developed countries need excelent professionals, and without study there is no way to stand for good jobs. In a short view, with you do not study, or just want to get a good education (lazy people), you will earn some money, but it will be dificult to get a good job later. In the long run, studying is the only way to make a lot of money. Without sacrifices we won't reach anywhere.

Wow? That's a good topic. Well, my main goal is both. If I finished my current course I'll have a good educational background and I won't be having a hard time getting a job and at the same time I have a good background about health where I can help not only my family but also other people. I'm a nursing student.

Hello Satisfy1879. May I congratulate you on a decent first discussion. Personally, I study because I cling on to the hope that eventually some time in the near future, all that hard work, time and effort sacrificed into studying will pay off. I study because I realise that it can earn me a better career and a better quality of life in general. I will be able achieve much more than if I hadn't spent the time to study (or at least, what I've been led to believe through all these years). Currently, I am busy studying in an English Language & Literature course at college, amongst other such courses that compliment this. And I make sure that I focus all of my attention on these courses because I understand that if I work hard enough and ensure that I work to my maximum potential, that one day, I may pursue a career in what I enjoy the most: English. Sorry if my post got slightly rambly halfway through. The tiredness is starting to kick in

Hello MrKennedy, thax for your congratulation. My English is not so good, but I will try my best to learn it.I read many books which are translated from English.I know something many change when these books are translated from one language to the other. If my English is good enough, maybe I can read original work. we are both on the road of studying. ^!^

We study because it frees us from becoming ignorant about things. It enables you to do a lot of things than those who have not studied. The proof of it is that you are able to write here in myLot and share your thoughts on things. You are able to read your favorite books. You are able to add up the total amount of groceries that you bought. You are able to count how many stars are there in the sky. You are able to estimate whether your clothes fit you or not. You are able to share your knowledge to other people. The bottomline of studying is to empower people to learn, and teach what you have learned.

Studying is important because during the process of studying we will learn how to study. It also sharpens our memory and intelligence. It also gives us many ideas which will reside in our subconscious mind and will be handy when needed. Also we will have good reputations in the society and we will feel proud and confident when others see us as a learned person.

First of all, I don't like to study. I only like to study because I would fail my test or quizzes without it.
