Disclaimer: This one will be gross,so I will hold back long enough for the weakhearted to leave. Well here goes the story.I love cooking with a lot of pepper,in fact I only use natural seasons like pepper onion, escalion and garlic. So I was cooking some chicken and I seasoned it up with my usual assortment of scotch bonnet pepper(the hottest here on the island),escalions, onions etc and let it marinate for a while .Then I went to surf the net .The meat was so well seasoned you could smell the pepper in the air when I tossed it in the pot. Anyway after I tossed the meat in the pot,I washed my hands and went back to surfing the net but after a while I felt like I wanted to urinate and went to the bathroom and did my thing and washed my hands again but this time when I settled down to mylot I felt a really burning sensation in my private parts(oh and its not an STD LOL).Oh man you wouldnt want to be me,I have heard about people having a hot assy but I am sure this is not what they have in mind .So I am going to have another bath and hope I can wash away some of this BURNING .As anything like this happened to you,I hope not but I would want to hear about it

OMGOSH RONNYB, what i am going to do w/u. I guess next time u will wash your hands to get the seasoning off before u handle your privates, lol. this is going to sound gross & will be messy but put egg whites only on whatever is burning, it will make them quit burning. I got into trouble one time when i was making relish w/hot peppers. My hands were burning so bad i could have cried. try it!!!!!

Lol!!! No i have not had anything like that happen. Hot pepper, garlic, onion and fish seem to be so hard to get off even when we wash real good after. I have had my tounge hot after eating something hot. I heard milk takes the burn away.

Hello my friend ronnybJi, It all happened due to uncleaned hands after your cooking, using more hot spices. Please wash your hands properly after such works in kitchen. My hubby always suffers with. Any cooking oil/Pure-ghee would immediately neutralise effects. Please be careful. I rest assure yo that it is not STD. May God bless You and have a great time.

I'm a girl, and this hasn't happened to me. But I've heard about it happening to someone else. Sort of. Might want to use latex gloves next time!! Either before handling the seasoning, or before going to the bathroom. Keep the seasoning on the hands and not somewhere else. At least you didn't rub your eyes!!! One guy was cutting up habanero peppers, saw his neighbor's cows loose and ran out to join in the herding. After a bit he had to take a leak. He did, then his parts starting burning. Hotter and hotter. He took a quick jump into a brook and stood there for quite awhile!! I'm always afraid of using bushes when I'm in the timber. Poison ivy problems aren't anything to sneeze at either!!
