How do you send money from Paypal to friends and family?

I was thinking about sending money to my family using PayPal, but I'm unsure with how it works. I went to the screen where you can send money, but it says to enter an email address. How does that person then get the money if he/she doesn't have a PayPal account? I was hoping that I could possibly send money to an address, rather than an email address.. or could that person have the money sent to their address from the email address? I'm a bit confused. Please help!

Hey Chris! If you can get a paypal debit card! I got one soon after I joined and it's really cool, it's a mastercard and works at ATMS or anywhere visa mastercard works then you could buy, gifts or get cash instantly if you need it, or get gift certificates! Check on it, I got mine in the mail in 8 days!
