An ill fitting bra can cause pain and irritation. Here some purchasing pointers: 1) SIZE YOURSELF REGULARLY Measure your touso under your bust. If the number is even, add 4; if it is odd, add 5. Next, measure around the fullest part of your bust. Compare the two numbers. A one inch difference means you are an A cup. Two inches are a B cup size and so on. 2) CHECK OUT THE FIT IN THE MIRROR Thae cups should lie smooth against your skin. Thae underwire is supposed to rest on your rib cage and the center front panel should lie against the chest wall. 3) DON'T FORGET THE BACK VIEW. Make sure the band rests against the middle of your back without hiking up. Also, the straps should sit firmly on your shoulders without sliping or leaving red marks. 4) PAY ATTENTION TO THE MATERIAL. If you have sensitive skin ,choose all cotton bras which may be less irritating. 5) TOSS IT WHEN THE ELASTIC GIVES. After about six months of regular wear, some bras will start losing elasticity. When yoo detect a looser fit or frequently have to adjust the straps, junk it.

Just a tip: Victoria Secret measures you for FREE so as to keep up with your bra size; It is best to do it once or twice a year and to always check for your best bet. For me, I dont care for underwire bras, so I am always on the look out for bras that give me support but without a wire.

I do fit a bra before buying it.good thing that my cup size doesn't change drastically.I am a 36B.I have to fit a bra first before buying.I buy bras with underwire.underwires are important for me since the provide support really well.
